If you listen to the news or look around, there is plenty to get upset about. We often fail to realize that the hardships we face are like mirages. That’s because everything is subject to change! I’m not trying to belittle what you may be facing. But sometimes in the middle of a trial, we forget how small our problems are compared to how big God is. Life is full of troubles that can make you break out in a sweat if you focus on them. When you look at your circumstances, you may become discouraged. If you look at yourself, you may become disappointed. If you look at others, you may get disillusioned. But if you look to God, you will be delivered! Even in the worst-case scenario, God still removes your burdens and blesses you. If you have a problem, He has a promise! In a time of crisis, God cares! When you’re hurting, God is healing. When you’re anxious, He will give you assurance. In times of lack, your Heavenly Father will provide. When you’re disappointed, He reminds you of your destiny! Even in times of death, the Lord will deliver you into His presence. I don’t care how loud the enemy screams in your ear, “It’s not going to happen this time.” Hold on to your confidence in God, put your trust in His Word, and you will come out victorious every time. So instead of fretting, focus on the Lord’s faithfulness. Instead of pondering your problems, press into His promises. And instead of wallowing in worry, worship your wonderful Deliverer. Remember, God is greater than any problem you will ever face. Compared to what He can and will do, everything else is small. So don’t sweat it! THIS ISSUE Following Your Dreams LYNETTE HAGIN 4 God inspires ordinary people with extraordinary dreams. He is a Master at doing the impossible! Let Him ignite your dream. Take God at His Word KENNETH W. HAGIN 10 Whose word do you trust? We act in faith on what people say all the time. But we can trust God’s Word even more! How to Hear From Heaven KENNETH E. • Position Statement Has Been Endorsed by Nearly 2,500 Churches and Other Nonprofit Organizations
Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability 440 West Jubal Early Drive, Suite 100 ● Winchester, VA 22601 July 17, 2018 To: Members of Congress Re: Nonprofit Parking Tax The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, signed into law on December 22, 2017, contains a troubling provision that applies federal income tax to parking benefits provided by tax‐exempt organizations to their employees. Newly added Section 512(a)(7) of the Internal Revenue Code states, “Unrelated business taxable income of an organization shall be increased by any amount for which a deduction is not allowable…by reason of section 274 and which is paid or incurred by such organization for any…parking facility used in connection with qualified parking…The Secretary shall issue such…guidance as may be necessary…including regulations or other guidance providing for the appropriate allocation of depreciation and other costs with respect to facilities used for parking…” Tax practitioners who have evaluated Section 512(a)(7) generally believe that the result of this new provision is that tax‐exempt organizations that provide parking to their employees will be subject to unrelated business income tax on the cost of the parking provided. A nonprofit organization that simply allows its employees to park in a parking lot or garage that is part of the organization’s facilities will be subject to a tax on the cost of the parking provided. How the parking costs must be measured remains to be addressed in the “regulations or other guidance” to be issued by the IRS. To apply this new requirement, nonprofit employers and their accountants must have guidance addressing exceedingly complex questions of allocations of basis, depreciation, and rent payments among different structures and between employee and non‐employee users.

That the gospel would be central to all we say and do. o “Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ…” Philippians 1:27 2. That we would be able to multiply (plant) churches. o “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8 3. We would actively share our faith and see more conversions. o But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.” 1 Peter 3:15 4. Our church family would grow in spiritual maturity/holiness. o Until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.” Ephesians 4:13 5. More people giving cheerfully, consistently, and generously. o “Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7 6.
