Girls Who Code Club Date: October 5, 2019 Time: 2:30 - 4 PM Location: Richland Library Sandhills Age Recommendation: Children Do you enjoy helping the community? Do you want to build your own cool apps? Join our 10-week Girls Who Code Club and learn the basics of coding from an IT professional. Meet the Author: Scott Sharpe Date: October 5, 2019 Time: 3 - 4:30 PM Location: Richland Library Cooper Age Recommendation: Adults Author Scott Sharpe will read from and discuss his newest book, "A Wild Eden," followed by a book sale and signing. Winner of the 2018 South Carolina Novel Prize, "A Wild Eden" follows Jack Parker searching for answers after the death of his father. The secrets Jack uncovers might shake the foundation of the refuge he hopes to create. A timely thriller about grief and the opioid crisis, contest judge Jill McCorkle describes it as "the compelling story of a son's journey to understand his father. Insightful and moving, Sharpe introduces us to a whole family and the history that bonds them."
