This is by no means an exhaustive record; indeed there are literally thousands of innovative manufacturers around the country tapping new areas of growth and taking their ideas to global markets. Formed in 2013 under the auspices of Ai Group, the Australian Advanced Manufacturing Council brings together industry leadership to drive success. Today AAMC members include some of the best known names in Australian manufacturing: enterprises like the ANCA Group, making a global name for Australian ingenuity in machine technology; aerospace and transport local heroes, Marand, and Quickstep; and Australia’s own multinationals including shipbuilder, Austal, biotech company, CSL, and medical device manufacturer, Cochlear; as well as Australian subsidiaries of global companies like Agilent Technologies, Cook Medical, Northrop Grumman, PPG Industries, GE, , and Ford, all companies with a keen focus on Australian talent and innovative capacity.
