September 7th ossibilities with Communion

Worship Team C has been busy planning an Address Label exciting way to begin the fall schedule at Christ Church - a series we are calling “Creating Possibilities.” We have chosen a quilting theme, and are asking the committees and ministries of our church to help create one of eight panels WORSHIP: representing areas which offer “possibilities” for gifts of time and talent:

9 AM and 10:30 AM music ministry, stewardship, youth, Christian education/VCS, evangelism/visitation/prayer chain, fellowship, outreach and mission, and adult education, study, and support groups. A picture of Christ Church will Church School: appear on the middle panel.

9 AM When we return to two services on September 7th, a bulletin insert will list Neighbors in Need Special Mission Offering the MANY ways each person can get involved in the mission of Christ Church. This “Gifts and Possibilities” list will hopefully inspire our community SUNDAY, OCTOBER 5th Fellowship Time: of faith to recommit to previous involvement, and/or try some new things! 10 AM Imagining a world without Hunger, Violence, Poverty, and where Literacy is no longer a The remaining weeks for “Creating Possibilities” concern September 14 (10:30 AM): Groups will bring their quilt patch Supporting the UCC’s annual mission offering, Neighbors in Need (NIN) and Communities Responding to and place each “piece” randomly Overcome Poverty (CROP) will help continue to make this idea a strong reality. The finished quilt will be a visual reminder of how each individual’s unique gifts can be pieced together with the gifts of others, stitched together to make it strong, then bound by our love for each other and the love of God.
