Next I’d like to thank Rob Breheny, Marg Stocks, Mick Breheny, Kevin Mulroney, Les Cross, Rob Brereton, Margie Mennen, Brenda Lee Milton, Marg Breheny, Ray Kilby and Les Cross. Their efforts helped make the club the success it has been over this past year. Highlights we all enjoyed last year including winning Best Club Display at a number of car shows, as well as participating in successful social events such as the coffee runs and text runs. I’m looking forward to getting to grips with the office of President of the Club and hope that I can be as successful in the role as Rob has been over his term in office. I’m also looking forward to getting to work closely with the members of the new committee. We have been active already, and have addressed two issues which were brought to my attention as requiring urgent attention as I started out as President; 1. To set guidelines for dealing with at risk members – those who fall into the category of possibly defaulting on attendance requirements where they have cars on the Club Permit Scheme. Members falling into this category over the 12 months have all been advised and asked to make an effort to attend as required. 2. I was made aware that there was a risk to our VicRoads accreditation if vehicles which are not roadworthy are brought onto our CPS list. An amendment to the club CPS guidelines now make it a requirement for a road worthy certificate to be provided where a member wants to move a vehicle to our Club Permit Scheme from another club. No doubt there will be further discussion about these points in months to come. For the moment, we have a strategy in place to help ensure we all retain the benefit of the CPS. Lastly, the flyer for the Christmas Party has been included in this newsletter. Last year’s party was a blast and with your help this one will be huge too! I am looking forward to seeing our Cussys out in the sun in the months ahead! Keep on cruising in the Cussy’s! David Healey Your Club President. 3 Best Wishes to all Celebrating their Birthdays during the next Three Months September: 25th Christine Holt November: th rd 2nd David Nicholson 27 Linda Wright 3 Kevin Shepherd th 6th Lynette Murcott 8 Wayne Murcott th 9th Ann Wylie October: 18 Joan Brereton th th 12 Trevor Christie 2nd Maureen Gill 28 Andrew Brooks th th 18 Calvin Pope 6th Rob Breheny 30 Les Horne th th 19 Paul Cattach 10th Larry Cornell 30 Les Stocks rd st 23 Jackie Mulroney 13th Jan Ashford 31 Maria De Palma th 24 Barry Hodson 13th Colin Smith th 25 Rob Brereton 24th Sandra Kilby th 25 Jim Camilleri 31st Joe Faralla Hi All. Here we are again with the next issue of our newsletter. We have had some great Runs over the Winter Months with great reports in the Newsletter. Many thanks to those of you who took the time to write a report. Mick has put together another great run sheet. We hope you enjoy this newsletter and keep the Run Sheet handy. Rob Brereton Newsletter Editor and Mick Breheny Assistant Newsletter Editor. We have 1 new membership application this Newsletter, so let‟s all welcome Les and Jill Peterson from Melton South who have a Green 55 Mainline. Les & Jill have returned to our Club after many years with another club. We hope you enjoy your time with the Club. Don’t forget our Christmas Party. Included with your Newsletter is your flyer for this year‟s Club Christmas Party. Please send back the reply slip, with your payments ASAP, so we won‟t forget to cater for you and your family and don‟t forget to insert your Member Surname. This year it is to be held again at the Broadmeadows Sporting Club where we will be having a catered Finger Food Feast. All details as per the attached Flyer and Runs Sheet. Please return forms to Mick Breheny by the 24th November, so the committee can organize this function. Hope to see you all there again this year. David Healey. President. I was in a car dealership a while ago, when a large motor home was towed into the garage. The front of the vehicle was in dire need of repair and the whole thing generally looked like an extra in "Twister." I asked the manager what had happened. He told me that the driver had set the "cruise control" and then went in the back to make a sandwich. New Club Mugs The New Club Mugs are displayed for you at right. They are white ceramic and they “do” have handles. If you wish to purchase one or several then please see Rob Breheny or Mick Breheny at a run or a meeting. For Members they are only $10.00 each. 4 ` President Vice President Secretary Treasurer David Healey Rob Breheny Kevin Mulroney Marg Stocks Newsletter Editor Runs Co-ordinator Trophies Merchandise Rob Brereton Mick Breheny Ray Kilby Rob Breheny At left we have our Club Permit Officer, Les Cross.
