After the previous management of Pencak Silat Association of Thailand hosted the 16th PENCAK SILAT WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2015 in Phuket ,Thailand and now with the new line up of the management I would like to convey a heartiest congratulation to Pencak Silat Association of Thailand (PSAT) and the organizing committee for the spirit to take up and host JUNIOR WORLD PENCAK SILAT CHAMPIONSHIP 2018 which will be held in Songkhla Rajabhat University Songkhla, Thailand. Songkhla is one of the southern provinces of Thailand. In the north of the province is Songkhla Lake, the largest natural lake in Thailand. Despite being smaller than the neighboring city Hat Yai, Songkhla is the capital of Songkhla Province as well as the Mueang Songkhla district (Songkhla town district). Due to its location at the opening of Songkhla Lake to the Gulf of Thailand, Songkhla is a fishing town and also an important harbour. It is the major seaport on the east side of the Isthmus of Kra. As this is another platform to promote the sport of Pencak Silat to the world, the association is making a commendable moves and I believe the world is looking forward to the championship. I wish to thanks Pencak Silat Association of Thailand for taking a step and being pro-active towards the development of the sport in and hosting it in a humble island.
