It is important for the professional manicurist to be aware of all factors relating to the nail and it's surrounding tissues in order to perform nail services in a safe and healthy manor. The Nail The nail in it's created form has several functions of the human body. It protects and supports the surrounding tissues of the fingers and toes. Fingernails help us to have more dexterity in our interactions. If we did not have fingernails we would have trouble picking up objects or doing other daily tasks. Another important function that the nail possesses is that it shows our body's level of health.
