Taxi ride into the city from the airport is at least $40. From terminal 1 (Lindbergh) follow signs to TAXI BOOTH. For terminal 2 (Humphrey) follow signs to GROUND TRANSPORTATION CENTER. Super Shuttle is $16 shared, $41 non-stop, $69 for premium sedan curbside pick-up, $93 for premium SUV curbside pick-up.

Metro Transit Blue Line has stations at both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. The closest downtown stops to CA hotels are the NICOLLET MALL station and the GOVERNMENT PLAZA station. It is a 2 block walk from the Nicollet Mall station to the Marquette Hotel. It is 7 blocks to the Hilton Minneapolis from the Government Plaza station. The Marriott City Center is 2.5 blocks from Nicollet Mall station. The train ride is about 30 min from the airport to downtown.

PORT AUTHORITY OF ALLEGHENY COUNTY LIGHT RAIL TRANSIT V.4.0 7/20/18 STATION DESIGN GUIDELINES ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS Port Authority of Allegheny County (PAAC) provides public transportation throughout Pittsburgh and Allegheny County. The Authority’s 2,600 employees operate, maintain, and support bus, light rail, incline, and paratransit services for approximately 200,000 daily riders. Port Authority is currently focused on enacting several improvements to make service more efficient and easier to use. Numerous projects are either underway or in the planning stages, including implementation of smart card technology, real-time vehicle tracking, and on-street bus rapid transit. Port Authority is governed by an 11-member Board of Directors – unpaid volunteers who are appointed by the Allegheny County Executive, leaders from both parties in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and Senate, and the Governor of Pennsylvania. The Board holds monthly public meetings. Port Authority’s budget is funded by fare and advertising revenue, along with money from county, state, and federal sources. The Authority’s finances and operations are audited on a regular basis, both internally and by external agencies. Port Authority began serving the community in March 1964. The Authority was created in 1959 when the Pennsylvania Legislature authorized the consolidation of 33 private transit carriers, many of which were failing financially. The consolidation included the Pittsburgh Railways Company, along with 32 independent bus and inclined plane companies. By combining fare structures and centralizing operations, Port Authority established the first unified transit system in Allegheny County. EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION – Metro Transit and Metropolitan Transportation Services Metro Transit: Tom Humphrey introduced Metro Transit Employee of the Month - Julie Obedoza from the Maintenance Administrative Office at Metro Transit Overhaul Base. Obedoza recently completed the Council Leaders Program. Her project for the Leadership Program consisted of creating a one-stop location for the 300 forms commonly used across the agency. The forms will eventually be linked to the CouncilInfo website for use by staff. Metropolitan Transportation Services Paul Colton, Metro Mobility Senior Manager, presented a recognition award to Jim Nieman, Metro Mobility Customer Service Representative, for his suggestion and implementation of streamlining delivery confirmation of customer mail on-line with the Post Office at a cost savings to the Council and staff time savings. Amy Vennewitz, MTS Dep. Dir. Finance & Planning, presented recognition awards to the following for their quick action in formulating a process and creating a solicitation process for the distribution of ARRA funds: Carl Ohrn-MTS Planning Analyst, James Andrew-MTS Planner, Kevin Roggenbuck – Transportation Coordinator.

But that was about to change.
