So, don’t be surprised if you see tourists and local visitors stopping by at PUBLICATIONS SUB-COMMITTEE 2017 the Club to admire its unique façade and architecture of the past which have EDITORIAL BOARD been preserved since time immemorial. President Dato’ Ang Ben Kiong and the General Committee (G.C.) have taken the initiative to put on display the Club’s CHAIRMAN artefacts from the past and also pictures of RKC’s past presidents on the MR. Jacob MatHews walls of the Club’s lobby. RKC’s history must not be forgotten in the face of our Club’s expansion EDITOR and improvements. In fact, the Club’s history and pictures of yesteryear DR. Given the different purposes, tourism industry has been classified into various types to cater to the needs and preferences of all types of tourists. The following are the categories of tourism1: a. Leisure Under this purpose, travellers simply want to enjoy new experience of a destination and devoting their holiday to rest and relaxation. These tourists prefer to stay in some quiet and relaxed destination preferably at a hill resort, beach resort or island resort. b. Business The travellers’ main motive for travel is for work purpose such as attending a business meeting, conferences, conventions selling products, meeting clients. Business tourism is popularly known as MICE (Meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) tourism. c. Special Interest Interestingly, some people travel for special reasons such as religions, medical, education, hobbies and cultural. Under medical tourism for example, travellers go to places such as recommended specialist centre seeking for medical treatment.     22/11/2001 Nation mourns (HL) KUALA LUMPUR, Wed. - The nation today began mourning the passing of the 11th Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah al-Haj Ibni Almarhum Sultan Hisamuddin Alam Shah al-Haj. The King, 75, passed away at 11.57 this morning after a prolonged illness. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad announced the King's death in an address to the nation over radio and television at 1.50pm. "With great sadness and regret, I announce that the 11th Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah al-Haj Ibni Almarhum Sultan Hisamuddin Alam Shah al-Haj passed away at 11.57 this morning at the Gleneagles Intan Medical Centre," he said. The King died two months after he was first admitted to the Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore for a heart surgery to implant a pacemaker. Dr Mahathir declared a seven-day period of national mourning and urged all relevant parties to fly their flags at half-mast. In Selangor, the State Government declared 40 days of mourning. The Prime Minister also announced the cancellation of all official government functions for today and tomorrow as a mark of respect. Dr Mahathir said the new Sultan of Selangor would be proclaimed tomorrow. The King had been on ventilator and under heavy sedation since Sunday, when his breathing and kidney functions were supported by machines. The King's earlier heart failure progressively worsened since Oct 6, and he suffered renal failure on Oct 15. His condition deteriorated rapidly since then. The King's condition took a turn for the worse on Nov 17 and had to be on the ventilator in the Cardiac Care Unit of the Singapore hospital.

This article examines the usage of social media on the readiness of the Malaysian Government in Total Defense. The primary and secondary data were collected through the qualitative research methodology using the ethnography research design to get the study's data and information. The findings found that it is the issue of virtual life of today where it has been seen from a terrible perspective. However, in making sure of a ton of utilization of the electronic long-range casual correspondence life, it is undeniable that the Malaysian Armed Forces can essentially harm the use of online platforms today.

In Malaysia, the problem issues are related to traffic congestion and many user cars on the roadway in daily lives. One alternative mode of using a rail network is commuter, LRT, Monorail, MRT and ETS. Therefore, the Geographic Information System (GIS) technology is then used to map and produce the railway networks history and developments in urban public transportation (UPT). The goal of this research is to identify the heatmap trends of the Klang Valley railway stations which included Kuala Lumpur as urban public transport sectors. It was based on the OSM image layer from the year 1990 to 2019 and studied the growth of railway networks through a polyline pattern analysis.

A total of 56 tube wells data were used to obtain layers of subsurface in the study area. By using groundwater modelling software (Visual MODFLOW), a model that represents an actual geological conditions has been made.

    Sultan Sallehuddin installed as 29th Sultan of Kedah BERNAMA 22/10/2018 ALOR SETAR, Oct 22 (Bernama) – Sultan Sallehuddin Ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah was today installed as the 29th Sultan of Kedah in a ceremony steeped in tradition at the Balairung Seri (Throne Room) of Istana Anak Bukit here. Following the installation, His Royal Highness will henceforth be addressed as ‘Al Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin Ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah’. The installation was held in the full tradition and custom of the Kedah Malay Sultanate, a historic ceremony considering that the last installation was held almost six decades ago, in 1959, when Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah ascended the Kedah throne. The Project shall be thereafter referred as ‘the Project’ in this report. The proposed Project is a conversion of the secondary forested area into a high- quality trees plantation, located on a state land with total area of 2,497 ha (6,170.22 ac) at Hutan Simpan Bukit Tarek and Hutan Simpan Bukit Tarek Tambahan in Mukim Kerling, Daerah Hulu Selangor, Selangor Darul Ehsan. The Project area will be developed into high quality trees plantation by using quality rubber tree from the timber-latex clone (TLC) and other forest species. 1.1.2 Location of the Project and Project Accessibility The proposed Project site is located in within the Hutan Simpan Bukit Tarek and Hutan Simpan Bukit Tarek Tambahan, Mukim Kerling, District of Hulu Selangor (Figure 1.1.1). Britain and Russia were not the only players but also drew in other players like Turkey, France and Iran (Persia as was). It involved diplomacy, espionage and war over a vast area of the globe, from the Bosphorus in the West to the Hindu Kush in the East. There was a war in the Crimea and two wars in Afghanistan. Now it might start to sound a bit more familiar. For the British, the driving factor back then was the defence of India, the jewel of the Empire. For the Russians it was the expansion of their Empire and influence south into the Caucasus, the Near East and Central and Southern Asia, and the need to secure a warm water port. Jump forward 100+ years and whilst the geographical focus of the game has shifted West to the Middle East and Central Asia, the game continues but with some important changes to the line-up of players. Whilst post-Soviet Russia is still a central antagonist, the USA has taken over the lead role for the Western powers with UK, France, Turkey and Iran still in the game, but with new players like Israel having taken the field.
