① Vaccination start date

The vaccination starts on Tuesday, June 15th at the large-scale vaccination sites.

② Vaccination period and time

Period: Tuesday, June 15th – Saturday, July 3rd, 2021 (including Saturdays

and Sundays)

Time: 9 am – 12 pm in the morning and 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm in the afternoon

③ Persons who are eligible for a vaccine reservation must meet the following four conditions:

1. Person with registered residency in Kyoto Prefecture who are 65 or older, (was born on or before April 1, 1957).

2. A person who possesses a vaccination coupon sent by each municipal government

3. A person who will receive the first vaccine shot (as the type of vaccine provided at the sites is different from the one administered by municipal governments)

4. A person who has NOT made a vaccine reservation either via the national or municipal governments, or has made a vaccine reservation for August or later.

Free shuttle bus services to/from the vaccination sites are available. Please read the section regarding the “Free shuttle bus service to/from the Kyoto Prefecture large-scale vaccination sites” for rides from the eight locations in the Prefecture. *Visitors cannot park their private cars at the sites as there is no private car parking space.

⑤ Start date for accepting vaccine reservations

Please be reminded that the start date for accepting vaccine reservations varies according to each municipality with which your residency is registered as well as for each vaccination site, which is listed as follows:

⑥ How to make a vaccine reservation

・Online vaccination reservation

・Do not make a double booking!! If you make a reservation at your municipal government or the Self-Defense Forces Large-scale Vaccination Center and at the Kyoto Prefectural Large-Scale Vaccination Venue at the same time, please cancel one of these reservations immediately. If you make a double booking, the vaccine prepared for you will be wasted. Thank you for your cooperation.

Please note that information such as the vaccination coupon number for those who have made a reservation at the large-scale vaccination site in Kyoto Prefecture will be provided to the municipalities in the prefecture to prevent double reservations.

In addition, those who have been vaccinated at the large-scale vaccination site in Kyoto Prefecture cannot receive a vaccination managed by the municipal government or the national government.

・After the first shot, a second shot is required at an interval of 4 weeks!

At the large-scale vaccination site, after the first vaccination, the second vaccination reservation can be made at the same venue on the spot.

In principle, the second vaccination will be reserved at the same time on the same day of the week for four weeks later.

・When the reservation is completed, please make a note of the reservation date , time and the place of the vaccination!

⑦ Free shuttle bus to/from the large-scale vaccination sites in Kyoto Prefecture

Kyoto Prefecture will be operating a free shuttle bus that can be used by those who have made a vaccination reservation at the large-scale vaccination site in Kyoto Prefecture.

※Only those who have made a reservation, and those who will accompany them, at a large-scale vaccination venue managed by Kyoto Prefecture are eligible to use this shuttle bus system.

※The shuttle bus must be reserved separately from your vaccination reservation. A vaccination reservation does not automatically secure a shuttle bus reservation. Those who do not have a reservation cannot board the shuttle bus.

※We will only be operating based on the decided routes.

⑧ How to reserve a free shuttle bus to the large-scale vaccination site in Kyoto Prefecture

Reception hours: From 9:00 am on each reservation start date, 24 hour support following these times (including Saturdays and Sundays)

* Reservations are accepted until 17:30, 3 days before the date you wish to ride the shuttle bus.

If you have made a reservation by the designated deadline, we will increase the number of available buses temporarily so that everyone who has reserved can board, so please don’t worry if the lines are busy and simply try calling again later.

* The call center does not issue bus reservation receipts, so please make a note of your reservation details yourself.

* Reservations will be accepted until 17:30, 3 days before the date you wish to ride the shuttle bus. (If 3 days before is during a weekend or holiday period, the closing day will be 1 day prior to the weekend or the holiday)

⑨ Free taxi shuttle between Housono Station and Keihanna Plaza (no reservation required)

We will operate a free taxi shuttle service that will run every 5 minutes from Hosono Station to Keihanna Plaza, which can be used by those who have made a vaccination reservation at the large-scale vaccination venue in Kyoto Prefecture.

* Only those who have made a vaccination reservation at a large-scale vaccination venue conducted by Kyoto Prefecture and their attendants are eligible to use this service.

* Reservations are not required for the free taxi shuttle service.

⑩ What to bring on the day of your vaccination

• Vaccination coupon

• Preliminary examination slip (please fill this in advance and bring it with you)

• Identity verification documents (driver's license, health insurance card, etc.)

* If you have a medicine notebook, please bring it with you.

⑪ Please be sure to read the following if you have made a reservation for a vaccination

・ Notes for the day of vaccination

• If a "storm warning" or "special warning" is announced in Kameoka City and Seika Town respectively, vaccinations will be canceled.

→ Regarding the implementation of the morning session, if such an announcement is made by 7:00 am, it will be canceled

→ Regarding the implementation of the afternoon session, if such an announcement is made by 10:00 am, it will be canceled

In addition, if it is decided to set up an evacuation center due to an emergency, it will be canceled at that point.

• Please do not arrive at the venue too early in order to prevent crowding and possible infections. Vaccinations cannot be received before your allotted time. Also, even if you arrive early, you may not be able to be seated in the waiting area.

• At large-scale vaccination venues, after the first vaccination, a booking for your second vaccination at the same venue will be done on the spot. As a general rule the second vaccination will be reserved at the same for the same day of the week for four weeks later.

•What you need to know when receiving your vaccine

• Check whether you have a fever or not before heading to the inoculation site.

• Please wear short sleeves (Injections are usually made into the deltoid muscle of the upper arm)

• After receiving the vaccine, you will undergo a period of health monitoring at the inoculation site for 15 or 30 minutes.
