Dear cast, crew, and family of Something’s Rotten in the State of Denmark,

We are excited to start 2020 with a hilarious take on one of the Bard’s most famous works () and jump right in to Something’s Rotten in the State of Denmark. This show takes place in in Elsinore Castle with something array in the plot— is studying economics, the King can’t get anyone’s name write, and a council of Rabbits is on its way. This show is fast, funny, and gives the students exposure to the Shakespearean language.

Please see the schedule and mark dates and times in your calendar. As you can see, we have a short time period to produce this show. It is VERY important that:

● Your child be at every class and/or rehearsal with their script and a writing utensil ● IF your child is going to miss class that you call the desk at (603) 357-2100 and let us know as far in advance as possible ● You help/encourage your child to practice lines and review blocking at home to reinforce what we worked on in class

To make the show a success not only need the students to succeed but your support—that means helping us fill the audience. As family of cast members, we ask that you “like” MoCo Arts on Facebook and share promotional materials for the show. In the weeks leading up to the show, spread the word about purchasing tickets in advance. Sharing information with your family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors is the best way to fill the seats and we can’t do it without your help!

For auditions: Students will be expected to participate in improvisational activities and read scenes from the script. It is recommended that students read through the script in advance to be prepared for auditions.
