Other information When you arrive at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport, please exit the building and look for the official Hadar taxi rank. A taxi from the airport to Jerusalem costs around 250 shekels (roughly, about US $65) and takes about 45 minutes (in normal traffic). A shared taxi is also a more economical and popular possibility. A welcome reception will be held on Wednesday 17th May at 18:30 in the courtyard of St Andrew’s Church (the Scottish Guesthouse) facing the Old City walls of Jerusalem. The Church is within walking distance of the hotels and the Van Leer Institute and has an amazing view of the walls of the OLD City. The conference dinner will be held on Thursday 18th May at 19:30 at the restaurant Eucalyptus, located across the street from the Jaffa gate to the Old City of Jerusalem. The restaurant is also walking distance from the hotels and the Van Leer Institute. On Tuesday 16th May dinner will be arranged for School participants. We will try to accommodate dietary restrictions only if indicated in advance. Please inform Chloe Smith ([email protected]) if you have any dietary requirements. On Friday 19th May, there will be a walking tour of the Old City of Jerusalem with a professional guide. The tour will start right after the end of the Conference and will be finished by sundown. Please inform Chloe Smith ([email protected]) to know in advance if you will join the tour. Map .
