G. Wodehouse : Right Ho, Jeeves before purchasing it in order to gage whether or not it would be worth my time, and all praised Right Ho, Jeeves: 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. I second that: Not a readable versionBy technophobicI wish the entry from the previous reviewer had been available when I ordered the book. The lines on the page are nearly twice as long as is normal for fiction. No fun to read, in spite of Wodehouse. I'm returning the book right now.As there are many editions for sale on , it is worth noting the specifics: The publisher of the particular paperback edition is Lits Books and EBooks, an imprint of International Aliance [sic!] Pro-Publishing. I have also seen comments that the edition from CreateSpace is no good.(Similar to the spelling of Aliance, the ships on the cover of the CreateSpace edition are a giveaway that there is something amiss: there is not a single boat in the Right Ho, Jeeves story. Do not look for a maritime element.)(BTW, what's going on here, did the authorial rights or so expire on Right Ho, Jeeves? Everybody his brother seem to be publishing the book. Google "Alba Tromm" and you'll find still another (obscure) publisher of RHJ. Join the club in chasing an easy buck, never mind the quality of the publication.)0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Still brilliant. Wodehouse is in a class of his ownBy Geraint Tom EdwardsFirst read more than 40 years ago. Still brilliant. Wodehouse is in a class of his own.3 of 5 people found the following review helpful. Wonderful book, weird editionBy LlewellynI know this is a sign of the times, but just for a heads-up: this edition (ships on cover) is print-on-demand, with an odd oversized format. Also, the format is unpleasant for reading, more like a manuscript than an actual book. The second novel of Jeeves and Bertie Wooster. "Acclaimed actor Jonathan Cecil brings comic flair to Right Ho, Jeeves, a rollicking tale." -- Savannah Jones, SirReadalot.org, December 8, 2004"Cecil does a splendid job of reproducing the voice of all the characters." -- Rainbo Electronic s, March 2005"Cecil reads the story with a fine ear for comic wordplay and absurdity… will be a favorite among Wodehouse fans." --AudioFile, February 2005About the AuthorThe author of almost a hundred books and the creator of Jeeves, Blandings Castle, Psmith, Ukridge, Uncle Fred and Mr Mulliner, P.G. Wodehouse was born in 1881 and educated at Dulwich College. After two years with the Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank he became a full-time writer, contributing to a variety of periodicals.
