Cable TV offering many international channels & wireless internet. 10 Minute Walk to Malveira da Serra or 15 Minute Drive into Cascais 2 Km to Guincho Beach The local area: Conveniently located near the Guincho beach with picturesque surroundings in a woodland type of environment. The local beaches - Abano/Guincho, Praia da Adraga , Praia Grande and Praia das Maças - are all within a short drive. There are more beautiful beaches in Cascais and Estoril which are around 10km drive along the coast road. Sintra itself is just 20 mins drive to the very centre. It's officially a World Heritage site, and has a lot to be seen, including the Moorish Castle, Pena Palace, National Palace and the mysterious Quinta da Regaleira. It also offers great shopping and restaurants. Markets in Sintra are on the 1st and 3rd weekends of each month. It is within a 15 min drive to the spectacular golf courses of Quinta Marinha, Pena Longa and Oitavos. A short distance away you can enjoy a lovely lunch at the Don Quixote Restaurant. This terrace bar is located at a windmill just a stone's throw away from the westernmost point in Europe. Sit relaxing with sangria in your hand and an incomparable view of the Guincho Beach and the Atlantic in front of you and the Sintra Hills behind. A truly perfect location for sunsets. Pay a visit Cabo da Roca, the most westerly point of Europe where you can enjoy a cliff top walk with spectacular views and visit to local tourism point. There are many walking routes in the mountains and in the parks (parts of it protected by World Heritage), if you wish we can provide information and/or contacts to the local walking groups. Just north of Sintra is the delightful old town of Ericeira takes you back in time to the days when it was a tiny fishing village. Cobbled streets, white-washed houses and a plethora of restaurants and cafes offer excellent food, especially the sea-food for which Portugal is deservedly famous..
