Day O ne: Tu esday, October 20 We travel to “ T he Steel City” or as it is also known, “ T he C ity of Bridges ” , for its 446 bridges. We arrive at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens where the group will have lunch on own at Phipps Café. Following lunch , we will enjoy a self - guided tour of the indoor conservatory and outdoor botanical gardens . After wards , we depart and check into our hotel - Hampton Inn Greentree , home for the next three nights. This evening, we depart for dinner and an iconic view of the city at the Duquesne Incline . While riding the incline ride down and back up the mountain , you w ill see spectacular view s of the city , and the point where its three rivers come together…the Monongahela , Allegheny and the Ohio. From here, it is a short stroll to LeMont Restaurant , the area’s only five - star diamond restaurant! E njoy a delicious dinne r with a vie w. Following our meal, we return to our hotel for the remainder of the evening. Day T wo: Wednes day, October 21 Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, before departing and meeting our local guide . As we travel to various stops today , our guide will provide an interesting and informative view of the city !

Our first stop is to the ’s . Here, we will have a guided experience of the , which are unique to the city of Pittsburgh. The rooms were designed to represent the culture of various ethnic groups that nestled in Allegheny County and are supported by these cultural groups and governments. Afterwards, we ’ ll take a short stroll across the grounds to Heinz Chapel , where we’ll have a tour highlighting the stained - glass windows and (hopefully) hear the organ being played. Lunch will be on our own this afternoon ( restaurant suggestions will be provided by our guide).

Following lunch, we will have a tour of the Henry Clay Frick Victorian Mansion , which will display late Victorian architecture and interior design. More than 90% of the furnishings and artifacts on display are original.

This evening, enjoy another elegant and delicious dinner at the Grand Concourse . Located in the beautifully pres erved Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad Station, the grandeur of the era is beautiful to view . With a cathedral, stained - glass vaulted ceiling, columns, and a dramatic staircase, guests are quickly transported to the glamorous side of the Progressive Era with the luxury of a modern - day menu.

Following our meal, we bid farewell to our guide b efore we return to our hotel for the evening.

Day T hree : Thurs day, October 22 Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, before departing for a day of touring. Our first stop is to the Senator John , where six floors of varied exhibits tell the story of 250 years of Southwestern History. Some of the exhibit are as include: Heinz; Mr. Rogers; W PA Sports Museum; Pittsburgh Innovations and more.

Afterwards, enjoy a guided tour of the Historic Strip District . We will see some established restaurants and shops , as well as the exciting new things that are happening is this historic area. Lunch will be on our own (local guide will provide suggestions) .

Following our time in the historic district, we return to the hotel to relax and freshen up before departing an d heading to dinner. We will dine on the water tonight! Enjoy a Chicken and Ribs Dinner , as you cruise the three rivers . Following our cruise, we return to our hotel for the evening.

Day F our : Fri day, October 23 Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before check ing out and departing for one last morning in the beautiful city of Pittsburgh. First, we will visit the National Aviary , located on Pittsburgh’s Northside . S troll through a tropical rainforest and see brilliantly - colored birds, mingle with flamingos, marvel at the majesty of a Bald Eagle, chat with an Amazon Parrot and stand nose - to - beak with an African Penguin. You also attend a special presentation, theme to be announced. There’s so much to see here!

Afterwards, we will enjoy a farewell luncheon at a popular Italian restaurant , before we depart and begin our trip home.
