ROADS (WORKS, USE AND COMPENSATION) ORDINANCE (Chapter 370) (Notice under section 8(2)) SAI SHA RESIDENTIAL AND RECREATIONAL DEVELOPMENT SAI SHA ROAD WIDENING Notice is hereby given that the Secretary for Transport proposes to execute the road works as shown on Plans Nos. 90995/02/131 and 90995/02/132 (the ‘Plans’) and described in the scheme annexed thereto, which Plans and scheme have been deposited in the Land Registry. The general nature of the proposed works is as follows:— (i) widening of Sai Sha Road between Sai O Village and Tai Tung Village from a 2-lane carriageway to a dual 2-lane carriageway; (ii) construction of a new carriageway from Tai Tung Village to Tseng Tau Village; (iii) construction of two roundabouts, one at the west of Ma Kwu Lam Village and the other near Tseng Tau Village; (iv) construction of two footbridges near Nai Chung Village and Kwun Hang Village; (v) construction of footpaths and cycle tracks; (vi) permanent closure of existing access points to Che Ha Village, Tai Tung Village and Ma Kwu Lam Village; reprovision of new access points to Che Ha Village, Tai Tung Village and Ma Kwu Lam Village; (vii) provision of access points as shown on the Plans; (viii) permanent closure of sections of existing carriageways, tracks, cycle tracks and footpaths as shown on the Plans; and (ix) ancillary works including earth works, drainage works, sewage and sewerage works, landscaping works, construction of a box culvert, retaining walls, bus-bays and a lay-by, reconstruction of the existing open space public carpark and the public bus terminus, and the erection of noise barriers. The Plans and scheme may be inspected by members of the public free of charge at the following places:— Central and Western District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, Ground Floor, Harbour Building, 38 Pier Road, Central, ; District Lands Office/ 1st Floor, Tai Po Government Offices Building, 1 Ting Kok Road, Tai Po, ; Tai Po District Office, Public Enquiry Services Centre, Ground Floor, Tai Po Government Offices Building, 1 Ting Kok Road, Tai Po, New Territories, and Office, 6th Floor, Citylink Plaza, 1 Sha Tin Station Circuit, Sha Tin, New Territories, and Office, Ground and 2nd Floors, Sai Kung Government Offices Building, 34 Chan Man Street, Sai Kung, New Territories during the following hours when those offices are normally open to the public.
