USES & APPLICATIONS Pharmaceutical coil is used for tablet packaging to provide a safe, nontoxic, aesthetically pleasing, easy to use, traditional fi ller. It ensures freshness and stability in shipping and storing of ethical and generic pharmaceuticals, vitamins and nutraceuticals.

SPECIALTY PRODUCTS Gamma Irradiated Cotton The cotton coil is processed through a gamma irradiation process which is guaranteed to leave a total aerobic count in the coil of less than 100 cfu/gram. The cotton coil cannot be claimed as sterile STANDARD because of the packaging used. SIZES ARE

Light Weight Coil COTTON BALLS Light weight coil ranges from 12 grains per yard up to 30 grains per 4000/ (med.) yard and is available in cotton, rayon and polyester. Applications for 2000/case (large) light weight coil are: swabs, laboratory use and fi ltration.

Carded Products Soft batting can be produced to meet customer’s specifi c require- RAYON BALLS ments. Custom weights, roll sizes and core dimensions are available. 4000 balls/case (med.) The maximum width is 40". Applications for carded products are: 2000 balls/case (large) funeral industry, wound care, medical and veterinary applications, fi ltration and jewelry fi ller. POLYESTER BALLS Pharmaceutical Balls 8000 balls/case (med.) Medical balls are available in Cotton, Rayon and 2000 balls/case (large) Polyester fi ber, meeting the USP General Chapter <670>. COTTON COTTON Cotton coil is composed of 100% purified, absorbent cotton. The cotton are selected for cleanliness and are designed to give superior in packaging pharmaceutical products. RAYON FIBER Rayon coil is a white, odorless, soft, resilient material comprised of 100% rayon fibers. POLYESTER FIBER Polyester coil is a white, odorless, soft, low moisture, resilient material comprised of 100% polyester fibers. Other polyester characteristics include: • Man-made fiber (petroleum derived) POLYESTER • Uniform in fiber length • Non-fluorescent • Non-absorbent – will not introduce or extract moisture from the bottle • Moisture content is NMT 1% • Most commonly used in bottling of soft-gel capsules • Meets USP and CFR requirements for food contact substances SPECIFICATIONS PACKAGING Coil Sizes The coil is packaged in a non-stretch The most common sizes are 9, 12, 16 and 20 contained inside grams per yard, but custom sizes from 3.5 grams a corrugated . up to 26 grams per yard are available.
