In the present checklist of the subfamily Anthiinae (Coleoptera: Carabidae) we summarize taxonomic data including synonyms, type localities and geographic distributions of all listed species described up to July 2013. The subfamily (or according to some authors “group of tribes“) includes in this work the following tribes: Anthiini Bonelli, 1813 (with two subtribes: Anthiina Bonelli, 1813 and Cypholobina Strohmeyer, 1928), Helluonini Hope, 1838 (with two subtribes: Helluonina Hope, 1838 and Omphrina Jedlička, 1941) and Physocrotaphini Chaudoir, 1863, together comprising 41 genera and 350 species. a new synonym is proposed: Termophilum marginatum (Latreille, 1823) syn. nov. of Termophilum sexmaculatum (Fabricius, 1787).
