THE LITTLE HOUSE, WESTON GREEN Dating from c. 1780 and hidden away in a quiet setting, the house is approached via a wooden five bar gate to a forecourt area with parking for numerous cars which in turn leads to a garage and car port. The house provides excellent family accommodation over two floors with the majority of rooms enjoying fine views over the gardens. The house retains a number of period features including wooden floors, fireplaces and cornicing. The Little House is superbly located in this highly sought after residential area with the high streets of both Esher and Thames Ditton close at hand. The royal palace and the gardens of Hampton Court are also just a short distance away. Schools: Elmbridge Borough has some of the finest state and independent schools including the Claremont Fan Court School, Weston Green Preparatory School, Thames Ditton Infant & Junior Schools and the American Community School in Cobham. Restaurants: There are a number of international bars and restaurants in the local area including many more in Esher, Claygate and Kingston upon Thames. Leisure: Recreational facilities are widely available including numerous local golf courses and racing at Sandown Park, Epsom and Kempton Park. Shopping: The high streets of both Thames Ditton and Esher are close at hand with their wide range of shops and restaurants, whilst a wider range of high street names and department stores can be found in Kingston upon Thames. Travel: The A3 and M25﴾J10﴿ are nearby giving access to central London, Heathrow and Gatwick Airports. The mainline station is a short walk away and London Waterloo is approximately 30 minutes by train. There is a further, faster service from Surbiton Station. Gardens and grounds The secluded gardens are a superb feature of the house leading from the rear of the house with a covered veranda which then leads to a large level lawn with mature borders of trees and shrubs. Beyond the lawn, there is a play area and to the rear of the house there is a courtyard and various outbuildings ﴿Directions ﴾Postcode KT7 0JZ From the Esher office of Knight Frank, travel to the Scilly Isles roundabout and turn left onto Hampton Court Way and turn right into Weston Green Road. As the road starts to fork, follow the right hand road around and a short way along turn left into a single lane track and The Little House can be found at the end. The reach has a character of wide open grassland, interrupted only by trees, park and water-works walls and the Portsmouth Road blocks of fl ats. Hampton Court Park extends over the entire Middlesex side right up to Hampton Wick, while the Surrey bank divides between the former Water Works and the Queen’s Promenade. The Portsmouth Road follows the river the length of the reach on the Surrey side. This is one of the only sections of the upstream London Thames where a road has been built alongside the river. The busy road and associated linear developments make a harsh contrast with the rhythm of parkland and historic town waterfronts which characterise the rest of the river. Portsmouth Road 4.03.3 Hampton Court Park is held in the circling sweep of the Thames, as its fl ow curves from south to north.
