SUMMARY r The Hope Creek property is situated in southwestern British Columbia approximate!v 30 ki1ometie.s south- . sovthu>est of the town of Gold Bridge. The property is comprised of 32 units (800 hectares) recorded in the Lillooet Mining Division. Recenl logging nctivi<y has provided eusy access to the claims. The claims ore located near the Bridge Xiver mining camp, the foremost goldproducing district ofthe province. Mining activiiy dating hack to the 1920’S is recorded on several mineral occurrences situated near Tenqville Lake approximate(v seven kilometres to the southeast. Teck Corporation reportedly conducted exploration on ground recently acquired north of the original Hope Creek property The present claims and surrounding area ws also the focus of a Prospectorors,~s,siutance program in 1997:98 GeologicaIly, the Hope Creekproperry Iies on the eastflank ofthe Coast Plutonic Complex. In this region. several large roofpendants of upper Triassic Cadwalloder Group sediments and volcanic m&r are encompassed and intruded by lake gronitic intrusions. Tertian, volcanic rocks ore present cost of the property Observed lithologies on the property include steeply dipping, northwesterly trending, andesitic andfelsic wlcanics. Locally intruding these rocks are bodies offeldrpar porphj?y. Tufo qpes of mineralization occur on the property, namely disseminated to semi-massivepyrialer~e and skarn ho&d magn&ite-copper zones. The sulphide rich zone appears to be a conformable schistose zone or ‘Shear” within altered and&tic volcanics. Samplingj?om this zone has yielded values of up to 6.4% zinc, 2.70 oz/ton silver and 0.04s o&on gold. The second type of mineralization 190 m northerly is related to II zone of strongly epidotized volcanics that host a north-northwest trending, steeply dipping band of semi-massive magnetite-garnet with chalcopyrite and malachite. A two m&e sample contained 0.168% Cu and 0.14% Zn. A second magnetite-copper occurrence discovered 78 metres northerly of the first contained 0.236% copper a.s wll a~ anomalous levels of silver, bismuth and molybdenwn. Volcanic hosted copper andzinc mineralization occurs in the recently acquired northern part of the property. In this area mineralization hay been documented sporadicolly over u 1.4 km length. fiploration in 2000 consisted of rehabilitation and minor drilling and blrxting along an access road, followed by a program o/stream and rock sampling andprospecting. Previous soil and silt sampling in the area ofthe known Hope Creek showings revealed anomalous copper and zinc over an orea considerably larger than the !uzown mineralization. A west-northwsterly projection of the pyrite-sphalerite slrlphide show, ing coincides with highly anomalous copper, zinc and lead soil geochemical values. Two stream samples from the 2OOOprogram indicated arena of anomalous copper and zinc worthy offollowup wrk. The recently acquired new ground couid not be accessedthis year and remains a high priority exploration target. The geological setting, distrtbution and wriely of mineralization found to date, combined wmiththe available infro&uchare, offer excellent exploration potential. I INTRODUCTION In tbe summer of 1997, Mr. Tom Illidge of Gold Bridge, B.C. brought the property area, located south-southwest of Gold Bridge, to the attention of the writer. A recently constructed logging mad along Hope Creek exposed rusty pyritic volcanic rocks. A rock sample collected by the writer contained anomalous gold values. The Hope claims (No. I-4) ~\;ere subsequently staked and have been subjected to small scale exploration program% In September 1999 additional claims were acquired. LOCATION AND ACCESS The Hope Creek prop&y is located in southwestern British Columbia approximately 145 kilometres north- northeast of Vancouver and 30 kilometres south-southwest of the tow of Gold Bridge (Figure 1). Geographic coordinates for the property are 50” 35.5 ’ North latitode and 122” 58.8’ West longitode oo NTS Map No. 92J/lOW. The property is readily accessible from Pemberton or Gold Bridge via the Harley River road. A major logging mad departs the Hurlcy River mad approximately 35 kilometres from Gold Bridge and heads southerly along the Hope Creek valley The property is situated near the nine kilometre mark of the Hope Creek road. Several branch logging roads transect the claims and provide good access. Travel time from Gold Bridge to the property is approximately 45 minutes. TERRAIN The Hope Creek property lies within the eastern flank of the Coast Range Mountains. Hope Creek and several small subsidiaq drainages transect the property (Figure 2). Hope Creek is a large creek that flows northerly into the Hurley River. Slopes on the property range from vety gentle to very steep, and are most often to the east. The r steepest slopes occu in the northernmost area of the property. Elevations range from 1,460 metres in the valley bottom along the east side of the property to 2_130 metres at the northwest comer of the claims. A prominent peak east-southeast of the prop&y attains an elevation of 2,290 metres (7,500 ft). Overburden cover is quite variable. however in many areas: especially on east facing slopes, the thickness likely does not exceed 1 to 2 metres. Overburden cover is more substantial and consists of flwio-glacial till in the Hope Creek valley bottom. Vegetation on the properly consists predominantly of balsam, spruce and pine. Alpine vegetation becomes common over 1850metres. Very recent logging has taken place on the Hope No. 1 and No. 2 claims. PROPERTY r The Hope Creek proper& consists of two 4-post claims and four two-post claims totaling 32 units (800 hectares) recorded in the Lillooet Mining Division figure 2). Details of the claims are as follows: Claim Name Reeorp No. No. of Units Expiry Date*-- 3-W 371759 20 September 20,2003 TWl 371760 1 September 20, 2003 TW2 371761 1 September 20,2003 TW3 371762 1 September 20,2003 TW4 371763 I September 20,2003 Grill1 380294 8 September 07,2003 *Expiry date based on acceptance of current assessment work. The registered owner of the claims is Mr. Tom Illidge of Gold Bridge, B.C. The rwiter has a 50% interest in the property All claims are situated on Crown Land with no private land situated within 8 kilometres. HISTORY REGIONAL: The region has a long history of mineral exploration dating back to the late 1800’s. In 1882, gold was found at the mouth of the Harley River near the present site of Gold Bridge and in 1886 on a tributary, namely Cadwallader Creek. By the late 1890’s, gold bearing veins were discovered along lower Cadwallader Creek and the Bridge River mining camp was born. This prolific area comprises five former producing mines that include the Bmlome and Pioneer mines and three smaller producers, the Wayside, Minto and Congress. In all, the Bridge River camp includes more than 60 mineral occurrences and has the distinction
