Promises, Promises!
Protection & Warfare August 22, 2021 – Part 8
Psalm 37 3 Keep trusting in the Lord and do what is right in his eyes. Fix your heart on the promises of God, and you will dwell in the land, feasting on his faithfulness. 4 Find your delight and true pleasure in Yahweh, and he will give you what you desire the most. 5 Give God the right to direct your life, and as you trust him along the way, you’ll find he pulled it off perfectly! Mark 11 24 This is the reason I urge you to boldly believe for whatever you ask for in prayer— be convinced that you have received it and it will be yours. TPT
Matthew 7 7 “Ask, and the gift is yours. Seek, and you’ll discover. Knock, and the door will be opened for you. 8 For every persistent one will get what he asks for. Every persistent seeker will discover what he longs for. And everyone who knocks persistently will one day find an open door. TPT
Protection
Isaiah 9 7 There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace on the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of armies will accomplish this. NASB
Psalm 27 1 Yahweh is my revelation-light and the source of my salvation. I fear no one! I’ll never turn back and run, for you, Yahweh, surround and protect me. 2 When evil ones come to destroy me, they will be the ones who turn back. 3 My heart will not fear even if an army rises to attack. I will not be shaken, even if war is imminent. 14 Here’s what I’ve learned through it all: Don’t give up; don’t be impatient; be entwined as one with the Lord. Be brave and courageous, and never lose hope. Yes, keep on waiting—for he will never disappoint you! TPT
Psalm 34 6 When I had nothing, desperate and defeated, I cried out to the Lord and he heard me, 7 bringing his miracle-deliverance when I needed it most. The angel of Yahweh stooped down to listen as I prayed, encircling me, empowering me, and showing me how to escape. He will do this for everyone who fears God. TPT
Isaiah 54 13 All your children will be taught by Yahweh, and great will be their peace and prosperity. 14 You will be established in righteousness. Oppression—be far from them! Fear—be far from them! Yes, terror will not come near you, nor will you be afraid. 15 If anyone dares to stir up strife against you, it is not from me! Those who challenge you will go down in defeat. 16 See, I am the one who created the craftsman who fans the coals into a fire and forges a weapon fit for its purpose, and I am the one who created the destroyer to destroy. 17 But I promise you, no weapon meant to hurt you will succeed, and you will refute every accusing word spoken against you. This promise is the inheritance of Yahweh’s servants, and their vindication is from me,” says Yahweh. TPT
Isaiah 60 18 Threats of violence will no longer be heard in your land, nor will destruction and ruin be found within your borders. You will name your walls Salvation and your gates Praise. TPT
Romans 8 31 So, what does all this mean? If God has determined to stand with us, tell me, who then could ever stand against us? TPT
Warfare
Psalm 18 34 You’ve trained me with the weapons of warfare-worship; my arms can bend a bow of bronze. 35 You empower me for victory with your wraparound presence. Your power within makes me strong to subdue. By stooping down in gentleness, you made me great! TPT
Proverb 24 6 Wise strategy is necessary to wage war, and with many astute advisers you’ll see the path to victory more clearly. TPT
2 Corinthians 10 3–4 For although we live in the natural realm, we don’t wage a military campaign employing human weapons, using manipulation to achieve our aims. Instead, our spiritual weapons are energized with divine power to effectively dismantle the defenses behind which people hide. 5 We can demolish every deceptive fantasy that opposes God and break through every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance of the true knowledge of God. We capture, like prisoners of war, every thought and insist that it bow in obedience to the Anointed One. TPT
Ephesians 6 12 Your hand-to-hand combat is not with human beings, but with the highest principalities and authorities operating in rebellion under the heavenly realms. For they are a powerful class of demon-gods and evil spirits that hold this dark world in bondage. TPT
1 Timothy 1 18–19 So Timothy, my son, I am entrusting you with this responsibility, in keeping with the very first prophecies that were spoken over your life, and are now in the process of fulfillment in this great work of ministry, in keeping with the prophecies spoken over you. With this encouragement use your prophecies as weapons as you wage spiritual warfare by faith and with a clean conscience. For there are many who reject these virtues and are now destitute of the true faith, TPT
James 4 7 So then, surrender to God. Stand up to the devil and resist him and he will flee in agony. TPT
1 Peter 5 8 Be well balanced and always alert, because your enemy, the devil, roams around incessantly, like a roaring lion looking for its prey to devour. 9 Take a decisive stand against him and resist his every attack with strong, vigorous faith. For you know that your believing brothers and sisters around the world are experiencing the same kinds of troubles you endure. TPT
Revelation 12 7 Then a terrible war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the great dragon. The dragon and his angels fought back. 8 But the dragon did not have the power to win and they could not regain their place in heaven. 9 So the great dragon was thrown down once and for all. He was the serpent, the ancient snake called the devil, and Satan, who deceives the whole earth. He was cast down into the earth and his angels along with 10 him. Then I heard a triumphant voice in heaven proclaiming: “Now salvation and power are set in place, and the kingdom reign of our God and the ruling authority of his Anointed One are established. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who relentlessly accused them day 11 and night before our God, has now been defeated—cast out once and for all! They conquered him completely through the blood of the Lamb and the powerful word of his
testimony. They triumphed because they did not love and cling to their own lives, even when faced with death. TPT
Psalm prayer 91
A prayer of protection for diffcult times...
© Psalm 91 Prayer Father God, thank You that [your name, your family name, ministry, or business] dwells in Your secret place—the secret place of the Most High—and abides under the shadow of the Almighty.
In boldness, we decree that You are our refuge and our fortress, Our God, in You we will trust.
We trust you as [INSERT NAME(s) OF GOD HERE].
Surely You deliver us from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestlence. You cover us with Your feathers, and under Your wings we take refuge.
Your truth is our shield and buckler.
We are not afraid of the terror by night, nor the arrow that fies by day, nor the pestlence that walks in the darkness, nor the destructon that lays waste at noonday.
A thousand may fall at our side and ten thousand at our right hand. But it shall not come near me. Only with our eyes shall we look and see the reward of the wicked.
Because we have made the Lord who is our refuge even the Most High our dwelling place. No evil shall befall us, and no plague shall come near our dwelling for You have given Your angels charge over us to keep us in all of our ways. In their hands they shall bear us up lest we should dash our foot against a stone.
We shall tread upon the lion and the cobra and the young lion and the serpent we shall trample underfoot.
We have set our love upon You, Father, and therefore You will deliver us. You will set us on high because we have known Your name. We have known You as [INSERT NAME OF GOD HERE].
We shall call upon You and You will answer us. You will be with us in trouble. You will deliver us and honor us. With long life You will satsfy us and show us Your salvaton.
We thank You for this in Yeshua’s Name… Our Savior. Our Deliverer. Our Mashiach. The Messiah. The Anointed One.
