Received: 26 October 2020; Accepted: 1 December 2020; Published: 4 December 2020 Featured Application: Hard tissue repair and replacement including large and small scales injuries with tailored mechanical and biological properties, featured by controlled local drug delivery systems to prevent post-surgical infection, to improve tissue regeneration, and/or for anticancer activities. Abstract: In this work, dense, porous, and, for the first time, functionally-graded bi-layer scaffolds with a cylindrical geometry were produced from a commercially available hydroxyapatite powder using the robocasting technique.
