The city of Isaccea rises up the hills on the right bank of the Danube, about 35 km northwest of city of Tulcea and 41 km from Galati, in an area full of natural charm. The city is crossed by DN E87, Tulcea - Braila, which provides connections with the city and other localities in the county and country. The population of Isaccea is 5,026 inhabitants. This promotes intercultural development, the exchange of experience, the active involvement of citizens in the decision- making system, in a word, the welfare offered by social cohesion.

The town of Isaccea organizes a twinning meeting between May 8 and May 10, 2020 in Romania, with the participation of 88 guests from the partner country and 88 other citizens from Isaccea. The second event will take place between June 19 and June 21 in the partner country, with the participation of 88 guests from Romania with 88 people from the local community of the partner country. The aim of our project is to develop an event that has six main lines of action: "European dimension", "Celebrating the European Day," "Values, traditions, culture '", "Europe for all", ” Young and their leisure time " , "Projections about the future". Cultural and regional exchange represent the key to good union, it is not enough to be aware of others knowing their cultural traditions, culinary and others, it is as important as the foundation of freedom justice and peace, to the recognition of the inherent dignity of all EU family members. This event aims to promote the twinning of our communities through administrative, economic, cultural and artistic actions and spending the free time.
