emory One: This is a terrible attempt at a panorama picture, and it does absolutely no M justice to the beauty that is in the Highlands of Scotland. This is on the Isle of Skye. Myself and 8 other friends did a 3 day trip to the Scottish High- lands, fearing terrible wet and cold weather we toughed it out and it turned out to be one of the best experi- ences of the trip here. We had an incredible tour guide who gave us endless history about Scotland while driv- ing us through some of the most amazing scenery I have ever seen. Though it wasn’t as clear as a lot of us had hoped, it was such an amazing sight. I cannot possibly sum up the beauty of this experience from a solitary pic- ture. My friends and I had all come to the conclusion (as many of my Scottish relatives say as well) that Scotland is such a beautiful place, it’s a shame it has a lot of nasty weather otherwise it would be a prime destination for Scenic view taken at Isle of Skye, Scotland tourists. Regardless of the wind, rain, and snow it is defi- nitely worth seeing. (continue on page 3)

A program of the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program offers intensive summer lan- guage institutes in thirteen critical foreign languages for summer 2013. The selection process is administered by American Councils for International Education with awards approved by the U.S. Department of State, Bu- reau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. The Critical Language Scholarships Program was launched in 2006. In its inaugural year, the CLS Program offered intensive overseas study in the critical need foreign languages of Arabic, Bangla, Hindi, Punjabi, Turkish and Urdu. In 2012, 631 scholarships were awarded for thirteen lan- guages, including Arabic, Azerbaijani, Bangla, Chinese, Photo Courtesy of CLS website.
