La ciudad de San�ago concentrará la mayoría de las competencias panamericanas, con el Parque Estadio Nacional como el epicentro depor�vo. Pero respondiendo a las necesidades técnicas de los deportes de los Juegos, a la capital de Chile se le han sumado sub sedes a distancias de 120 kilómetros como máximo. Es así que Viña del Mar acogerá al surf, triatlón y fútbol. Valparaíso, que es el principal puerto de Chile, recibirá al canotaje, remo y aguas abiertas en la Laguna de la Luz de Curauma así como también algunos par�dos de fútbol. La bahía de Algarrobo, a medio camino entre San�ago y Viña del Mar, será la sede de las competen- cias de vela. Los Andes recibirá al canotaje slalom y finalmente los deportes ecuestres tendrán su escenario en Quillota. Todas estas localidades fueron escogidas pensando en ofrecer las mejores condiciones requeri- das por los deportes.
