Since 1943, the men and women of Naval Air Station Oceana, Dam Neck Annex and Naval Auxiliary Landing Field Fentress have provided world class service to the fleet, our fighters and their families. My staff will honor our heritage by always striving to provide exceptional to provide exceptional support to those we serve. More than 70 operational, training and support commands call NAS Oceana, Dam Neck Annex and NALF Fentress “home”. Most recognizable is the strike fighter wing, U.S. Atlantic fleet with more than 300 F/A-18 Super Hornet strike fighter aircraft. Other significant tenant commands include Training Support Center Hampton Roads, the Center for Information Dominance unit Hampton Roads and Fleet Readiness Center Mid- Atlantic. At well over 10,000 acres, our three installations are virtual cities with more than 7 miles of runways, grocery stores, shopping malls, two chapels and 36 holes of championship golf. We are also one of the largest employers in Virginia’s most populous city: Virginia Beach. Because of their ideal location and beautiful year-round climate, Virginia beach and Chesapeake have something to offer everyone. The people are friendly, helpful and eager to welcome you into their community. Throughout Coastal Virginia, you are sure to be treated with warm hospitality. Regardless of your assignment here onboard NAS Oceana, Dam Neck Annex or NALF Fentress, you will be Challenged and rewarded as you serve our Navy and our Nation.
