Nearly 70 percent of NFL games have been within one score in the fourth quarter this season. The average margin of victory through Week 4 is 10.92 points, the lowest it has been since 2011.

New Orleans DREW BREES was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 4 after he completed 33 of 41 passes (80.5 percent) for 359 yards and two , including the game-winning 80-yard pass in overtime in the Saints’ 26-20 win over on Sunday Night Football.

The award was Brees’ 21st Player of the Week award since its inception in 1984. Brees is one of three players in history to earn at least 20 Player of the Week awards (PEYTON MANNING, 27; TOM BRADY, 24).

Brees’ 80-yard overtime to running back C.J. SPILLER was the 400th touchdown pass of his career. He is the fifth player in NFL history with 400 or more touchdown passes. Brees achieved the milestone in his 205th career game, becoming the fastest player to do so.

Denver quarterback PEYTON MANNING passed for 213 yards and a touchdown in the Broncos’ 23-20 victory over Minnesota as Denver improved to 4-0 this season.

Manning has now led his teams (Indianapolis, Denver) to 4-0 starts in seven different seasons, the most of any starting quarterback in NFL history.
