Drafted in the first round (No. 24 overall) of the 2005 NFL Draft, Rodgers has been selected to four Pro Bowls (2009, 2011, 2012 and 2014 seasons) and named the league’s Most Valuable Player two times (2011 and 2014). “I’m driven to be the best,” says Rodgers. “I put a lot of pressure on myself to achieve the goals I set every year. I enjoy trying to meet the challenges those goals bring.” Rodgers has the highest career passer rating (106.4) in NFL history and he is the only player in league annals to have more than four times as many touchdown passes (231) as interceptions (57) – no other player has three times as many. Over his past 18 home games, including the playoffs, Rodgers has completed 371 of 539 passes (68.8 percent) for 4,906 yards with 43 touchdowns and no interceptions for a 124.0 passer rating. At home, he has now thrown 545 consecutive passes without an interception, the longest streak in NFL history. Additionally, he has 43 touchdown passes in a row at home without an interception, also the longest such streak in league annals. During that span, the Packers have won 16 of 18 home games, including last week’s 27-17 win over Seattle. “It’s a culture change when you play at home, you expect to win,” says Rodgers. “We haven’t had that around here during all my years, so it’s fun to be around an organization that you’re seeing some culture change. It started last year with some of the blowout wins we had at home against some good opponents, continued in the playoffs against a really good Dallas team and it’s carried over. I think we can be special.” In his career at home, Rodgers has completed 1,146 of 1,695 passes (67.6 percent) for 14,350 yards with 124 touchdowns and 22 interceptions for a 112.7 passer rating, the best mark in NFL history.     Trademark Rights for Signature Touchdown Dances Abstract Famous athletes are increasingly cultivating signature dances and celebratory moves, such as touchdown dances, as valuable and commercially viable elements of their personal brands. As these personal branding devices have become immediately recognizable and have begun being commercially exploited, athletes need to legally protect their signature dances. This paper argues that trademark law should protect the signature dances and moves of famous athletes, particularly the signature touchdown dances of NFL players. Because touchdown dances are devices capable of distinguishing one player from another, are non- functional, and are commercially used in NFL games, the dances should be registrable with the USPTO as trademarks for football services. Andrews has become so alarmed that he is issuing written and verbal warnings to anyone willing to read or listen. Why should the public care what Andrews thinks? Because when the "Dr." is placed in front of his name, he becomes a world-renowned orthopedic surgeon. Andrews, who has practiced medicine for nearly 40 years, is most famous for his ability to put professional athletes back together. These athletes -- notably, a who's who of quarterbacks -- have signed contracts for a combined total well north of $1 billion after his surgeries. In 2010, Andrews was the only doctor to be named among the top 40 most powerful people in the NFL by Sports Illustrated. Andrews' specialties are knees, elbows and shoulders. OFFENSE: QB TONY ROMO, DALLAS COWBOYS • Taking center stage on Thanksgiving, Romo completed 22 of 29 passes (75.9 percent) for 306 yards with five touchdowns and no interceptions for a 148.9 passer rating in the Cowboys’ 38-10 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Romo’s five touchdown passes tied the franchise single-game record and he became the sixth Dallas quarterback to accomplish the feat. The last Cowboy to throw five touchdowns in a game was Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback TROY AIKMAN in 1999. The former Eastern Illinois star connected with wide receiver TERRY GLENN in the first quarter on a 30-yard scoring strike. The Cowboys scored twice in the second quarter on a two-yard TD pass from Romo to Glenn and a one-yard touchdown pass from Romo to running back MARION BARBER. Romo and Barber teamed up again in the third quarter with a two-yard score and Romo’s final TD was a seven-yard toss to wide receiver TERRELL OWENS.
