ANNUAL REPORT 2019 Contents 1. Message from the General Director 2. 2019: A Record Year 3. A Year of Celebrations and Important Milestones 4. At the forefront of technology 5. Irizar Group Sustainability Message from the General Director In March, when the global pandemic was declared, an enormous health crisis of unknown dimensions was confirmed and that lead to an unprecedented economic crisis. We have been working on staying close to our customers these months and ensuring that the people in the Group can keep doing their jobs safely and maintain their delicate work life balance. Likewise, we have given some social support, in accordance with our principles and mission. I am very proud of the behaviour of every person in the Group and the attitude of union and solidarity with which we are facing these difficult times. However, this annual report for 2019 should let us recognise the goal we are aspiring to. 2019 was the year we celebrated the 130th anniversary of Irizar. It has also been ten years since we had our own stand at the Busworld fair for the first time. And we are celebrating the 20th anniversary of Irizar Mexico, the 10th anniversary of Datik and it has been ten years since we became a manufacturer of integral coaches. The Group currently has 13 production plants, 8 brands of its own, an R&D centre and 8 distribution and Without a doubt, the success of the Group is an outcome of the strategy based on brand, technology and after-sales companies. We have activities in six different sectors, including passenger transport, electro-mo- sustainability. -

Fuel Cell Electric Buses Are in Operation Between Versailles and Jouy-En-Josas
INFORMATIONAL April 2020 Fuel Cell Electric Buses An attractive value proposition for zero emission buses in France Zero–Emission Fuel Cell Buses for France Van Hool fuel cell electric buses are in operation between Versailles and Jouy-en-Josas 2 Executive Summary France has recognized the importance of sustainable transportation. With the knowledge that mobility is a key contributor to air pollution, there is immense pressure to reduce CO2 emis- sions. Evidence of this is the ban on diesel and petrol car sales from 2040 and the strategy for clean mobility put forward in the “Loi de Transition Energétique pour la Croissance Verte.” French cities are also leading initiatives to reduce local emissions, such as Paris’ ambition to ban diesel cars as early as 2023. There is no doubt that the future of public transportation is going to be zero emission. Transit agencies and operators in France are being called to find ways to improve air quality in their communities while maintaining quality of service. The choice that faces cities and transit au- thorities is what technology to deploy. Transit operators can consider two zero emission elec- tric bus solutions: fuel cell electric buses (FCEBs) or battery electric buses (BEBs). FCEBs are electric buses which offer all the benefits of BEBs while facilitating large scale de- ployments. FCEBs fueled with hydrogen are the only zero-emission technology to match diesel fleets with complete route flexibility, short refueling time and similar depot space utilization. With more than 15 years on the road and millions of kilometers in passenger service, FCEBs have proven their performance. -
Bus and Coach Accessibility
Bus and Coach Study Investigation of Bus and Coach design by Joanne Fairweather And Sheila Fletcher October 2019 1 Summary The following report is a snapshot of coaches and buses and some of the challenges facing disabled people when attempting to use them. During the summer of 2019 Joanne and Sheila visited various bus stations, spoke to bus operators and observed the issues. Contents Vehicle types………..page 3 Our study……………..page 5 Infrastructure……..page 10 Conclusions..………..page 11 Thanks …………………page 11 2 Vehicle Types People use the word “bus” to describe all vehicles that carry a number of passengers. The law covering the design and operation of bus services breaks buses down in to different types of vehicle: Minibus 9 to 16 passengers The law covering vehicle accessibility does not include the design of vehicles under 22 passenger seats. It is unusual to see a minibus on a local bus services. The above minibus was operating on a local bus route in Skye and it is a low floor minibus with a ramp to allow a wheelchair to access the wheelchair space. Bus These can be 22 seats or more 3 Since 1 January 2015 all buses on local bus services have had to be wheelchair accessible. Double decker bus Since 1 January 2017 double decker buses have had to be wheelchair accessible. With both double decker and single decker buses there is usually an electronic or manually operated ramp that extends on to pavement so wheelchair users can board the bus. Coach 4 By 1 January 2020 all coaches used on local registered bus routes will have to be accessible.
