Some of the designs of sturdy seats and benches are from J.P. Whites’s catalogue of 1912, some from existing seats in the Garden at Chatsworth, some drawn by David Mlinaric and some by Bob Getty, the then clerk of works. Today, our range comprises of around 50 items of Serpentine Seat garden furniture. Every piece is made to order, by skilled local crafts men demonstrating the skills of the carpenter as opposed to the cabinet maker, and sizes and designs can be altered to suit. We also accept commissions Items are available in a painted finish or in natural Oak. There are pieces that are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
