Isle of Wight Community Rail Partnership The Isle of Wight Community Rail Partnership was set up in 2005 with the aim to create a sustainable future for rail on the Island. Its original funding partners were Island Line Trains, Isle of Wight Council and Wightlink. The CRP has gone from strength to strength, even with the withdrawal of funding by the local authority in 2010. The CRP has successfully delivered numerous projects to the benefit of the railway, its users and the community. Partners now include (in addition to the two funding partners) Hovertravel, Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce, Isle of Wight Steam Railway and Red Funnel, with the prospect of other transport providers joining in the near future.
