OCTOBER 2nd 2019 WHY ROLLER-SKIING?

We manage to simulate Cross- Country Skiing by using roller .

- We are a country without snow

- The technical adaptation to snow is very high (80% - estimated) ROLLER-SKIING IN BRAZIL?

We introduced roller ski in our strategic planning in 2015.

Before that: We had only 3 athletes under 300 FIS points.

Today: We have 34 cross- country FIS athletes of which more than 20 athletes have under 300 FIS points. ROLLER-SKIING IN BRAZIL?

Over this four years, we have achieved:

• Over 8.000 kids tried roller-skiing

• Over 100 kids from 6 to 18 training regularly in our program

• Around 15 athletes from 14 to 22 years old are travelling to snow every year

ROLLER-SKIING IN BRAZIL?

Over the last four years, we have achieved:

• One athlete at the YOG 2016 and potentially four at the YOG 2020

• Two athletes at the OWG 2018

• 6th place at the 2018 Paralympic Winter Games

• 4 FIS events organized annually at the Brazilian Rollerski Circuit

• Over 100 participants (from 8 a 65 years old)

• Normally 24 races per event
