[Investment Climate] Geographical and Henan Province, located in , is surrounded by mountains to the south, west, and Social Conditions north. The topography is highly varied, featuring plains, basins, mountains, and hills. The -Huai-Hai Plains spread out to the east. Henan Province borders Hebei, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Hubei, Anhui, and Shandong provinces. It has four seasons, and the temperature reaches 45°C in the summertime. Resource Henan Province has the largest reserves of cyanite in China. In addition, it has abundant Distribution reserves of oil, coal, and natural gas. Major Industries Agriculture, mining (coal) Infrastructure Rail The Jingguang Railway (), Longhai Railway (), and Jingjiu Railway (Beijing–), etc. After the opening of the -Lanzhou Railway, east-west trunk line currently under construction, it is scheduled to join the Jingguang Railway (Beijing–Guangzhou), the main north-south line in Zhengzhou City. The Zhengbian Intercity Railway (Zhengzhou–) and the Zhengzhou- Intercity Railway are scheduled to open at the end of 2014. Construction is scheduled to begin on the Henan - High-speed Railway at the end of 2014.

Expressways The Jinggang’ao Expressway (Beijing––Macao), Hushan Expressway (–Shaanxi), Ningluo Expressway (), Jiguan Expressway (–Guangzhou), etc. Construction on the extension of the - section of the Jinggang’ao Expressway (Beijing–Hong Kong–Macao) is scheduled for completion at the end of 2014. Airports Zhengzhou International Airport, Luoyang Beijiao Airport, Nanyang Jiangying Airport, Shangqiu Airport, Minggang Airport, etc. Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport is currently in the second phase of construction. Subways Zhengzhou opened in December 2013. is currently under construction. The plan is to develop a rail network with a total of 17 lines by 2050 (for a total of 640 km). Transportation and Rail The trip from Zhengzhou to Shanghai is approximately 7 (by China Access Railway High-speed (CRH)). The trip from Zhengzhou to Beijing is approximately 5 hours (by CRH).
