Robert D. Jones

Robert D. Jones, CPA, is the Senior Vice President of Treasury Services/Chief Investment Officer for Health Resources.

Texas Health is a faith-based, nonprofit health system that cares for more patients in than any other provider. The system has more than 4,000 licensed hospital beds, 6,200 physicians with active staff privileges and more than 25,000 employees.

Mr. Jones came to THR in September 2010 with more than 17 years of experience in healthcare finance with St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System in Houston. Mr. Jones also spent 15 years with Tenneco Inc. in a variety of accounting and corporate finance/treasury positions. In his role with THR, Mr. Jones guides the strategic direction of the corporate investment program including over $5 billion in assets, the capital structure of the organization including $1.9 billion in tax-exempt and taxable debt, and general treasury and insurance operations. He chairs the Retirement Plan Advisory Group, serves on the Board and Investment Committee of Texas Presbyterian Foundation and on the Investment Advisory Committee for the Dallas Police and Fire Pension Fund. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas and is a licensed CPA in the state of Texas.
