Goa Butterfly Park & Conservatory "Home to the Colorful Creatures"

Nestled in a tropical forest, Goa Butterfly Park & Conservatory is home to more than 120 species of butterflies. A walk through this re-created habitat presents the colorful sight of butterflies hovering over regional plants spread across the park. Initiated by a local homeopath Dr. Jyoti Heblekar, the park offers tours as well as special programs for school by Public Domain CC0 groups from time to time. Verna Springs

Named after the Verna plateau on which it is located, Verna Springs or the Kesarval Springs as they are known locally are a great tourist attraction. Wax World "Everything in Wax"

The Wax World gallery located at the Church Complex is developed by Mr. Shreeji Bhaskaran. This one of its kind museum showcases life size look-alike wax statues of well known Indian personalities like Mahatma Gandhi, Sharada Devi and Swami Vivekananda. With each passing year, Mr. Bhaskaran adds to the already existing collection. The staff here is quite knowledgeable and provide in- depth facts on each and every statue.The museum also houses a shop that stocks a wide range of wax memorabilia, from scented candles and flowers to wine glasses and dolls. What sets it apart from other museums is the fact that suggestions and ideas entered in the feedback journal are incorporated to enhance the experience further.

Arvalem Waterfalls "Interesting Waterfall"

There are many interesting waterfalls in Goa and one of it is the Arvalem Waterfalls located in the small village of Sanquelim. The waterfall has a beautiful and noisy flow during the rainy months and you can see the place in its full glory during the month of October. During winters and summers, there is not much to be seen due to water scarcity. 'Ilha dos fidalgos' and Chorao are names given to this island off River Mandovi by the Portuguese. The original name of the island was Chhodnem meaning 'precious stones'. Like every other place in Goa, this island too has a mythical story attached to it. It is believed that the foster mother of Lord Krishna (Yashodha) flung her diamonds into the water and by Robert Stirrett this island sprung forth from the gems. Chorao is home to many churches and temples as well as the Dr. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary.
