Her collection contains materials related to her time in the company including photographs, correspondence, newspaper articles and a Tour Map. Identification DM-043 Biographical Note Dorothy Matsie grew up in Chicago and danced with the Austin High School ballet company. She was a member of the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo from 1948-1952. She was also a member of the Radio City Music Hall Corps de Ballet. She worked for the Los Angeles School System from 1969-1989. She also taught ballet within the LA Department of Recreation for over 40 years. Scope and Content Note The Dorothy Matsie Collection contains photographs, newspaper articles, correspondence and other ephemera.
