Brief Summary of RG OC-I Expansion Phase-II Project SCCL is operating Ramagundam Opencast–I (RG OC-I) Expansion Phase-II Coal Mine Project located near Nagepalli Village, Kamanpur Mandal in Karimnagar District of Telangana State, for which MoEF&CC, GoI accorded Environmental Clearance vide letter Lr.No. J -11015/534/2007-IA-II (M), dated 31.07 2008. for the peak production capacity of 3.30 MTPA in the ML area of 923.88 Ha. Now, SCCL is proposes to increase the production capacity from 3.30 MTPA to 5.30 MTPA from Ramagundam Opencast-I Expansion Phase- II itself within the same mining lease area of 923.88 Ha. for extracting the balance coal reserves of 36.86 MT by removing 221.56 M.Cum of OB over an estimated life of 9 years, under the name of Ramagundam Opencast-I Expansion Phase-II (RG OC- I Expansion Phase - II Project). 1. State Profile Telangana State Area (Sq. km) 1,12,077 Physiography Deccan Plateau Drainage The State is drained by two major perennial rivers viz. Godavari and Krishna with several other rivers of lesser significance Irrigation As per 2011 figures, out of gross irrigated area of 29,98,798 Ha, area irrigated by ground water is 21,10,959 Ha ( 70%) surface water is 8,09,111 Ha ( 27%). Net area irrigated is 20,03,900 Ha . Out of which, area irrigated by ground water is 13,96,000 Ha(70%) , surface water is 5,54,000 Ha(28%). Rainfall Varies from 732 mm in Mahabubnagar district to 1121 mm in Adilabad district. It increases from less than 800 mm in south-west part of the state to more than 1200 mm in north and north-east part of the state. The mean annual rainfall of the state is 923 mm of which southwest monsoon season (June-September) contributes about 80% of the annual rainfall and northeast monsoon season contributes 13% of the annual rainfall. Total Districts / Mandals 10 Districts / 459 Mandals (provisional 31 districts/525 mandals) Hydrogeology : Telangana is characterized by various geological formations ranging in age from Archaean to Recent. Nearly 80 percent of the State is underlain by hard rock formations consisting of granites, gneisses, metamorphics and intrusives (Archaeans), Precambrian quartzites, shales and limestones (Cuddapahs & Kurnools), Mesozoic Deccan Trap basalts etc., while the remaining area is underlain by Gondwana sedimentaries and Sub Recent-Recent alluvium. The occurrence and movement of ground water in hard rocks is chiefly controlled by thickness of weathering and structural features like fractures and solution cavities.

Ministry of Health and Family Welfare National Family Health Survey - 4 2015 -16 District Fact Sheet Karimnagar Telangana International Institute for Population Sciences (Deemed University) Mumbai 1 Introduction The National Family Health Survey 2015-16 (NFHS-4), the fourth in the NFHS series, provides information on population, health and nutrition for India and each State / Union territory. NFHS-4, for the first time, provides district-level estimates for many important indicators. The contents of previous rounds of NFHS are generally retained and additional components are added from one round to another. In this round, information on malaria prevention, migration in the context of HIV, abortion, violence during pregnancy etc. have been added. The scope of clinical, anthropometric, and biochemical testing (CAB) or Biomarker component has been expanded to include measurement of blood pressure and blood glucose levels. NFHS-4 sample has been designed to provide district and higher level estimates of various indicators covered in the survey. However, estimates of indicators of sexual behaviour, husband’s background and woman’s work, HIV/AIDS knowledge, attitudes and behaviour, and, domestic violence will be available at State and national level only. As in the earlier rounds, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India designated International Institute for Population Sciences, Mumbai as the nodal agency to conduct NFHS-4. The main objective of each successive round of the NFHS has been to provide essential data on health and family welfare and emerging issues in this area. NFHS-4 data will be useful in setting benchmarks and examining the progress in health sector the country has made over time.

Mukt Shabd Journal ISSN NO : 2347-3150 An overview of Art and Culture in Telangana *Thonty Devanna, Asst.Professor of History, Girraj.Govt.College(A), Nizamabad,Telangana ABSTRACT Telangana, due to its geographical location, is the realm where two diverse cultures from the north and the south of the country merge and create a composite culture region with diverse cultural, social and economic backgrounds. Thus, Telangana links the north and south of India. Hyderabad, the state capital, is a classic example of Telangana heritage, exemplified by a number of archeological monuments such as the Charminar, the Golkonda Fort, Mecca Masjid, the Sri Chennakesava Swamy Temple, UjjainiMahankaali Temple and Hussain Sagar, to quote a few. Other important heritage sites in Telangana, apart from Hyderabad, are Adilabad, Karimnager, Khammam, Mahabubnagar, Medak, Nalgonda, Nizamabad and Warangal. Each of these has several heritage monuments that emerged during the state's long history.Culture in Telangana is a combination of customs adopted from Persian traditions during the rule of Moghuls and Nizams and more dominantly South Indian customs. Thus ,it has a very rich culture with Telugu culture amalgamated within the fabric of the society. Telangana is potential lies in its culture that blends cultural customs from Persian traditions embedded during Moghuls, QutubShahis and Nizams rule with influential and mainly South Indian customs and traditions. The State has a rich tradition in classical music. It has a rich painting and folk arts such as Burrakatha, shadow puppet show, and Perini Shiva Tandavam, Gusadi Dance, Kolatam, Bonalu, Kite Festival, etc. This paper examine the an overview of art and culture in Telangana State.

It is further certified t hat: (a) The complete process for identification and settlement of rights under the FRA has been carried out for the entire 0.015 Hectares of forest area proposed for diversion. A copy of records of all consultations and meetings of the Forest Rights Committee(s),Gram Sa bha(s),Sub- Division Level Committee(s) and the District Level Committee are enclosed as annexure ... to ... annexure....
