No. SE (R&B)/NH/ KMNR/26/2016-17/ Date: 17 -02-2017 Name of Work: Widening the Existing 4-lane to 4-lane plus widening with paver blocks including Drains Footpaths from Km 132/0(Diesel colony Kazipet) to 144/0 (Peddammagadda in Warangal Town limits) of Hyderabad- Bhupalapatnam road of NH- 163 & Km 128/0 (KUC Police Station) to 130/0 (Police Head Quarters) of Karimnagar- Warangal section of NH-563 in the state of Telangana. Officer inviting Tenders: Superintending Engineer (R&B), National Highways, Circle, Karimnagar . 1. Bids are invited on the e-procurement platform for the above -mentioned work from the Contractors / contracting firms registered with Government of A.P/Government of Telangana. 2. Approximate Estimate Contract value of work: Rs. 38,69,50,431/- 3. The bidders who are desirous of participating in e-procurement shall submit their Technical bids, Price bids, etc in the standard formats prescribed in the tender documents displayed at ‘e’ market place. The bidder should upload the scanned copies of all the relevant certificates, documents, EMD etc., in the ‘e’ market place in support of their Technical bids. The bidder shall sign on all the statements, documents, certificates uploaded by him, owing responsibility for their correctness/authenticity. 4. Any document submitted other than scanned and uploaded shall not be considered. If any of the certificates, documents, etc. furnished by the bidder is found to be false/fabricated/ bogus, the bidder will be blacklisted and the EMD will be forfeited. 5. EMD to be paid by way of unconditional and irrevocable Bank guarantee for Rs. 38,69,600/- issued by any Nationalized Bank in the Standard format valid for 6 months as shown in the tender schedule drawn in favour of Executive Engineer (R&B), NH Division, Warangal or crossed Demand Draft for Rs: 38,69,600/- drawn in favour of PAO, SRSP, KCC, Hanamkonda . The Participating bidders shall mandatorily pay transaction fee @ 0.03% of ECV i.e., Rs. 11500/- (Rupees: Eleven thousand only) in favour of MD, APTS., (TS Wing) Hyderabad, towards service Tax on through the electronic payment gateway as per G.O. Ms. No. 11, Dt. 23-7-2010. The successful bidder shall pay Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten thousand only) in shape of DD in favour of TS Technological services, Government of Telangana towards e-procurement corpus fund at the time of agreement. 6. The successful tenderer shall handover the original DDs/ BGs for EMD and hard copies of uploaded documents etc., to the Superintending Engineer(R&B), NH- circle , Karimnagar (OR) authorized representative directly or though his agent or by registered Post or by Courier services so as to ready before due date of notice issued by Superintending Engineer as per the GO 11, Dt.23-07-10. If Lowest (L1) tenderer fails to submit the hard copies of DD/ BG for EMD and hard copies of uploaded documents within the stipulated time as per the GO MS No. 174/ I&CAD (PW-Reforms) Department, Dt.1-9-2008, the tenderer will be suspended , disqualified from participating in the tenders on ‘e’ procurement platform for a period of (36) thirty six months from the date of Bid submission. Bidder shall mandatorily pay the transaction fee to M/s APTS, (TS Wing) Hyderabad through the electronic payment gateway providing online payment service through ‘e’ Procurement platform as per Go.MS. No. 11, Dt. 23-07-2010. d) Procedure needs to be followed as instructed at www.eprocurement.gov.in . 15. Qualification Requirements : To qualify for consideration of Award of the Contract, each bidder should fulfill the following criteria. (S) Assessed available Bid capacity as per formula (2AN-B) should be greater than the Estimate Contract value as displayed in Bid documents. The details and certificates are to be furnished as per the Proforma available in the Bidding document. (ii) Similar nature of work- The bidder should have satisfactory completed, as prime contractor similar nature of Road works of value not less than Rs. 12,89,83,477/- in any one financial year during last five financial years i.e., from 2011 –12 to 2015 - 16 (This value will be updated to the year 2016 - 2017 in which the tenders for this work is called duly giving 10% weightage for each financial year. If the machinery is leased by the tenderer the tenderer shall furnish lease agreement on Rs.100.00 worth non-judicial stamp paper along with proof of ownership . In case of HMP as per G.O.Ms.No.179 T(R&B) RT. Dept 6-2- 2014, only the contractor who own a HMP with in 70 Km distance from the site are eligible to bid for the work a certificate to their effect issued by the EE and Counter signed by the SE should be uploaded. Godavari and Krishna with several other rivers of lesser significance Irrigation As per 2011 figures, out of gross irrigated area of 29,98,798 Ha, area irrigated by ground water is 21,10,959 Ha ( 70%) surface water is 8,09,111 Ha ( 27%). Net area irrigated is 20,03,900 Ha . Out of which, area irrigated by ground water is 13,96,000 Ha(70%) , surface water is 5,54,000 Ha(28%). Rainfall Varies from 732 mm in Mahabubnagar district to 1121 mm in Adilabad district. It increases from less than 800 mm in south-west part of the state to more than 1200 mm in north and north-east part of the state. The mean annual rainfall of the state is 923 mm of which southwest monsoon season (June-September) contributes about 80% of the annual rainfall and northeast monsoon season contributes 13% of the annual rainfall. Total Districts / Mandals 10 Districts / 459 Mandals (provisional 31 districts/525 mandals) Hydrogeology : Telangana is characterized by various geological formations ranging in age from Archaean to Recent. Nearly 80 percent of the State is underlain by hard rock formations consisting of granites, gneisses, metamorphics and intrusives (Archaeans), Precambrian quartzites, shales and limestones (Cuddapahs & Kurnools), Mesozoic Deccan Trap basalts etc., while the remaining area is underlain by Gondwana sedimentaries and Sub Recent-Recent alluvium. The occurrence and movement of ground water in hard rocks is chiefly controlled by thickness of weathering and structural features like fractures and solution cavities.

    Ministry of Health and Family Welfare National Family Health Survey - 4 2015 -16 District Fact Sheet Karimnagar Telangana International Institute for Population Sciences (Deemed University) Mumbai 1 Introduction The National Family Health Survey 2015-16 (NFHS-4), the fourth in the NFHS series, provides information on population, health and nutrition for India and each State / Union territory. NFHS-4, for the first time, provides district-level estimates for many important indicators. The contents of previous rounds of NFHS are generally retained and additional components are added from one round to another. In this round, information on malaria prevention, migration in the context of HIV, abortion, violence during pregnancy etc. have been added. The scope of clinical, anthropometric, and biochemical testing (CAB) or Biomarker component has been expanded to include measurement of blood pressure and blood glucose levels. NFHS-4 sample has been designed to provide district and higher level estimates of various indicators covered in the survey. However, estimates of indicators of sexual behaviour, husband’s background and woman’s work, HIV/AIDS knowledge, attitudes and behaviour, and, domestic violence will be available at State and national level only. As in the earlier rounds, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India designated International Institute for Population Sciences, Mumbai as the nodal agency to conduct NFHS-4. The main objective of each successive round of the NFHS has been to provide essential data on health and family welfare and emerging issues in this area. NFHS-4 data will be useful in setting benchmarks and examining the progress in health sector the country has made over time.

Thus, Telangana links the north and south of India. Hyderabad, the state capital, is a classic example of Telangana heritage, exemplified by a number of archeological monuments such as the Charminar, the Golkonda Fort, Mecca Masjid, the Sri Chennakesava Swamy Temple, UjjainiMahankaali Temple and Hussain Sagar, to quote a few. Other important heritage sites in Telangana, apart from Hyderabad, are Adilabad, Karimnager, Khammam, Mahabubnagar, Medak, Nalgonda, Nizamabad and Warangal. Each of these has several heritage monuments that emerged during the state's long history.Culture in Telangana is a combination of customs adopted from Persian traditions during the rule of Moghuls and Nizams and more dominantly South Indian customs. Thus ,it has a very rich culture with Telugu culture amalgamated within the fabric of the society. Telangana is potential lies in its culture that blends cultural customs from Persian traditions embedded during Moghuls, QutubShahis and Nizams rule with influential and mainly South Indian customs and traditions. The State has a rich tradition in classical music.
