GAME PREVIEW Tonight’s matchup features your (13-15-5-3) vs the visiting Islanders (28-4-0-0) at 7pm at Scotiabank Centre. The Herd will battle the hottest team in the Q in the Isles who have won 13 in a row. Despite the incredible winning streak, Halifax managed to make life difficult for Charlottetown in the last two meetings between the clubs. Alex Gravel made 35 saves and Bobby Orr came up with a clutch 3rd period goal last Saturday in P.E.I. to force where the Islanders snuck out a 3-2 win on a goal with 13 seconds remaining in the extra period. In the previous matchup on March 14th, the Mooseheads built up a 4-0 lead before Charlottetown fought back with six unanswered goals to grab the win. Halifax has picked up six out of a possible eight points in their last four games with a 2-0-2-0 record.

SCOTTY’S 3 WHOPPERS OF THE GAME

LETHAL LINE The Islanders top line of Cedric Desruisseaux, Brett Budgell and Thomas Casey has had a field day with the Mooseheads this season. In 13 games, the trio has combined for a ridiculous 83 points. That’s an average of nearly 6.4 points per game. The Moose won’t be able to completely stop them but at least slowing them down would go a long way in their hopes for a victory tonight.

MILESTONE WATCH A trio of Mooseheads are hovering around a major milestone. Jason Horvath recently played in his 200th career QMJHL game while Alexis Gravel and Liam Peyton both enter the night with 193 games played. That’s a remarkable accomplish- ment for all three players. Congrats guys.

CAPTAINS TEAM UP A pair of former Mooseheads Captains are now teammates in Manchester, England. Maxime Fortier and Cameron Critchlow have both signed to play for the Manchester Storm of the EIHL as the team prepares for the upcoming Elite Series. Fortier joins the team after spending the season with Bratislava in Slovakia of the ICEHL. Critchlow returns to the Storm after leaving to play with Jacksonville of the ECHL.
