After tonight’s battle with the Warriors, the Tabbies will host the Prince Albert Raiders on Saturday. Tigers vs. Warriors For the first time this season the Tigers will faceoff against the Warriors. Last year, these two hockey clubs met four times and the Tabbies boasted a 1-2-0-1 record against the Warriors with their only win coming December 5th, 2018, in overtime. Over the past five years Medicine Hat is 4- 6-1-1 overall against Moose Jaw and 2-3-0-1 when playing at home. The Tigers and the Warriors will meet again next Friday in Moose Jaw. View from Moose Jaw The Moose Jaw Warriors lost 4-0 to the Saskatoon Blades on Sunday and they will be looking to rebound tonight in Medicine Hat. The Warriors are 9-9-1-0 so far this season and they are led by 2021 NHL Draft Eligible Ryder Korczak with 29 points (8G, 21A) in 19 games played and 2019 Anaheim Ducks draft pick Brayden Tracey with 22 points (10G, 12A) in 12 games played. After tonight the Warriors will return to Mosaic Place to host the Calgary Hitmen on Saturday night.

INTRODUCTION Bid submissions for the TELUS Cup are to be formatted based on the following guidelines and should include photographs of the facilities – arena(s), hotel(s) etc. The TELUS Cup (formerly the Air Canada Cup) officially became Canada’s annual national midget hockey championship in 1979. The forerunner to the Air Canada Cup was the Wrigley National Midget Hockey Tournament which ran for five years, 1974 through 1978 inclusive. At that time, the Wrigley was an invitational event with regions declaring their respective winners through competitions during the Christmas and New Year’s holidays within each of Hockey Canada’s 11 Branch play-downs.

    MANITOBA AAA MIDGET HOCKEY LEAGUE Pembina Valley Hawks— 2014-15 Champions 2015 STATS & RECORD BOOK Celebrating 30 years 1985-1986 — 2014-2015 Preamble lthough the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League officially began with the 1985-86 season, the foundation for the league was laid a year earlier when the regional team Aconcept was first implemented. For the 1984-85 season, organizers proposed that an eight-team league be split into two four- team division with each of the teams playing host to a two-day tournament featuring teams from their own division. One final tournament would be held in which the top two teams from each di- vision would participate. The overall objective was to compete at the Branch, Western Regional and National Air Canada Midget Championship. A list of competing teams for the 1984-85 seasons has not been confirmed, but it is known that the rural division consisted of teams in Pembina Valley, Southwest, Interlake, Yellowhead and Brandon. The Winnipeg Stars won the provincial midget championship, defeating Pembina Valley Hawks in the City/Rural finals. The inaugural 1985-86 Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League season featured nine teams — Winnipeg (St. Boniface) Saints, River East Royals, Winnipeg South Monarchs and St. James Canadians in the City Division and Pembina Valley Hawks, Southwest Cougars, Brandon Wheat Kings, Parkland Stars and Interlake Raiders in the Rural Division. For the 1986-87 season, the league had grown to 12 teams — seven in the City Division (Win- nipeg Saints, Winnipeg Monarchs, Norman Northstars, River East Royals, Winning Stars, Kenora Boise Midgets and St.

    Prince Albert Mintos U18 AAA 3 Time Telus Cup Champions March 2, 2021 The Prince Albert Mintos of the Saskatchewan U18 AAA Hockey League are seeking a qualified and professional individual for the position of Head Coach. The Head Coach is responsible for the overall preparation and supervision of our players throughout the season. The Head Coach will work closely with our Assistant Coaches and General Manager in fostering a winning culture and will lead in the growth and development of our players on and off the ice. Qualifications Required: Must be High Performance 1 certified. Respect in Sport certified. Must be SHA Checking Clinic certified. Must have previous head coaching experience, at a minimum of the U15 AA level. Criminal Record check. Primary Responsibilities include (but not limited to): Serve as a spokesperson for the team, consistent with the values and standards of the of the Mintos organization and the SU18AAAHL. Be present for all team activities and functions. Develop daily game and practice plans. Develop and implement offensive, defensive and specialty teams systems and strategies. Responsible for the team adherence to the Mintos Code of Conduct. Assist in enforcement of player rules, regulations and team policies, implement disciplinary standards and supervise and manage the conduct of players both on and off the ice. Take a lead role in the planning and the implementation of player evaluations and development plans. Assist in the organization and coordination of player evaluation camps (fall and spring). Participate in parent and player meetings. Assist in the planning of team travel, in cooperation and consultation with the General Manager.

PHOTO: SAINT JOHN SEA DOGS Director of hockey operations Jean-François Damphousse believes better days are ahead for the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus. They can only go up from here. Coming off a three-win season and failing to make the Atlantic University Sport men’s hockey conference playoffs, the Aigles Bleus’ recruiting class for next season grew on Tuesday. The club announced it’s adding four 20-year-old defencemen - Vincent Lanoue, Tobie Paquette-Bisson, former Moncton Wildcat Olivier Desjardins and Dieppe’s Alexandre Bernier - for next year. Lanoue, Paquette-Bisson and Desjardins have all played at least four seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Bernier, currently with the Edmundston Blizzard in 14 février 2018 – Acadie Nouvelle the Maritime Junior Hockey League, won a QMJHL President Cup championship and played in the Memorial Cup with the Saint John Sea Dogs last season. Moncton has already landed QMJHL standout goaltender Étienne Montpetit of the Victoriaville Tigres and former Baie- Comeau Drakkar star forward Maxime St-Cy, who red-shirted this season after playing two years professionally. “The defencemen we’ve signed are leaders on their teams. When you bring in leaders from that type of league, it brings credibility,”said Damphousse, who was hired by UdeM in the new role last May. “It’s the beginning and we have a long way to go to becoming a championship team. Moving forward, we can be in the game when it comes to recruitment.

Teen Mentoring is especially popular among Leadership students in both High School and Intermediate school classes. In 2017 six High Schools including Montague Regional, Three Oaks, Bluefield, Kensington, Kinkora and Colonel Gray participated along with three Intermediate schools, Montague, East Wiltshire and Athena. Currently, we are in discussions with staff at Ecole Francois Buote, Morell Regional and Charlottetown Rural schools who have expressed an interest in starting programs in the Winter/Spring term in 2018.The growth in this program has been made possible with generous donations from the Rotary Club of Charlottetown Royalty ($90,000) and Rogers Communications ($25,000).
