No. 25374/2016/X-1 dated 19.09.2016, for a period of Three months only subjected to submission of Environmental clearance from MoEF / SEIAA, consent for Establishment and Consent for operation from TNPCB. Man power About 9 employees 27. Water requirement & Total water requirement for 1.0KLD from water source vendors & nearby bore well. 28. Overburden/Waste There is no overburden anticipated in this area 29. Cost of the project The Project cost: A. Operational Cost = Rs. 2,28,000/- B. EMP cost = Rs. 40,000/- Total Cost = Rs 2,68,000/- CSR Cost (2.5%) = Rs. 25,000/- Total cost = Rs. 2,93,000/- The Prefeasibility report preparing for following condition of Government of India Ministry of Environment and Forests (No.L-11011/47/2011 –IA-II (M) Dated: 24th June, 2013) Thalamalai reserve forest is located 14Km from the Northern side of the area. The lease applied area lies on Ananda sagaram tank. Bhavani River is passing on the 2km from the Northern side of the area. The Western Ghats boundary is situated 14km from the North western side of the area. There is no interstate boundary within the radius of 15km. There is no CRZ within the radius of 15km. The project area does not fall in ‘HACA’ region. There are no Bird sanctuaries, wild life sanctuaries and National park as Act 1972, within the radius of 15kms. The following information provided by the applicant PRE FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR SALANGAPALAYAM EARTH QUARRY R.Sasikumar, Under EIA Notification 2006 I have applied for getting Environmental clearance to SEIAA, Tamilnadu for quarry lease for quarrying of Earth quarry in the S.F.No: 33 (P) over an extent of 0.72.00Ha, in Government land in Salangapalayam Village, Bhavani Taluk and Erode District. I swear to state and confirm that within 5km / 10km area of the quarry site, I have applied for environmental clearance; none of the following is situated. Protected areas notified under the wild life (protection) Act, 1972. Critically polluted areas as notified by the central pollution control board constituted under water (Prevention and Control of pollution) Act 1974. Eco – Sensitive areas as notified. Interstate boundaries and international boundaries within 5km radius from the boundary of the proposed site. There are no quarries located within 500m radius from the periphery of my quarry site. There will not be any hindrance or disturbance to the people living on enrouted / nearby my quarry site while transporting the mined out material and due to quarrying activities. No habitations within 300mt radius from the periphery of my quarry. I swear that Afforestation will be carried out during the course of quarrying operation and maintained. The required insurance will be taken in the name of the labourers working in my quarry site. Approach road belongs to local panchayat only and no other private patta roads encountered. I will not engage any child labour in our quarry site and I aware that engaging child labour is punishable under the law. All type of safety/ protective equipments will be provided to all the labourers working in my quarry site. No permanent structures, temples, etc, are located within 500m radius from the periphery of my quarry. The Precise area communication letter was issued by the District collector Erode vide Rc.No. 25374/2016/X-1 dated 19.09.2016 II. The Mining plan was approved by the Deputy Director, Department of Geology and Mining Erode vide Rc.No. 25374/2016/X-1 dated 21.09.2016 (ii) Brief description of nature of the project PRE FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR SALANGAPALAYAM EARTH QUARRY R.Sasikumar, Under EIA Notification 2006 The Earth quarrying by opencast method of shallow mining is proposed. Machineries like excavator are proposed for quarrying of Earth. No drilling and blasting is proposed. There is no formation of bench; the quarrying is a restricted to a depth of 1.70m in the entire area. The Earth will be loaded directly to the trucks / Lorries for the strengthening of bunds to increase the storage capacity of the tank for the Chennai metro water project. The applicant intends to use for leveling and filling of low lying areas Road projects and other infrastructure development works. There is no top soil. The waste material is not anticipated during the quarry operation, the entire Earth is excavated and utilized. It is proposed to exploit Earth of about 9400m3 for a period of Three months only. (iii) Need for the project and its importance to the country and or region The Earth quarrying project falls in the area of Erode District, Tamilnadu where scanty agricultural activities are been carried out and the new industries are springing up in the district. Earth is an important commercial product, with a number of applications. The Earth will be loaded directly to the trucks / Lorries for the strengthening of bunds to increase the storage capacity of the tank for the Chennai metro water project. This project will give employment opportunities to 9 members directly. Mineral Industries of the state of Tamilnadu provides employment opportunities for the people of the state as well as in the specific project area. Mining and Quarrying is one among the major core sector industries which plays a vital process of country’s economic development. (iv) Demand and supply gap There is a huge demand of Earth in Erode District for this a huge quantity of Earth is required for filling and leveling of low lying areas of road construction projects and other infrastructure development work.

    BRIEF SUMMARY OF KADAYAMPATTI CETP PROJECT Proposed Installation of 8MLD Kadayampatti Common Effluent Treatment Plant with ZLD along with 4MW Captive Power Plant, Kadayampatti, Bhavani Taluk, Erode District Tamilnadu. The proposed project falls under category ‘B1’ at 7(h) of the Schedule of 2006 EIA notification. Its coordinates are 11027’42.60” N and 770 40’37.67” E. The Proposed K-CETP will be in an area of 12.15 acres. Site is open land however few bushes and small trees exist, which needs the clearance. The nearest railway station to the project location is the Erode Junction, which is about 14 km away and the nearest bus stand is the Erode central bus terminus which is located at a distance of about 14 km. The closest airport is in Coimbatore, which is located at a distance of 96 km from the site. There are two State Highways near the proposed project location, which are: • Bhavani to Anthiyur road in the western side at about 100m from the site. • Bhavani to Sathyamangalam/Athani road (SH-82) in the southern side at about 500m from the proposed site. Cauvery river is located around 2.0 km to the east, Bhavani river is located at a distance of around 1.0 km to the south and Kadayampatti lake at a distance of around 0.5 km to the north of the proposed project location. The proposed 8.0 MLD CETP is based on a Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) concept. The treatment methodologies proposed in this CETP comprises of Collection and Conveyance system, Pretreatment unit (PT), Reverse Osmosis system (RO) and Reject Management system.
