    BRIEF SUMMARY OF KADAYAMPATTI CETP PROJECT Proposed Installation of 8MLD Kadayampatti Common Effluent Treatment Plant with ZLD along with 4MW Captive Power Plant, Kadayampatti, Bhavani Taluk, Erode District Tamilnadu. The proposed project falls under category ‘B1’ at 7(h) of the Schedule of 2006 EIA notification. Its coordinates are 11027’42.60” N and 770 40’37.67” E. The Proposed K-CETP will be in an area of 12.15 acres. Site is open land however few bushes and small trees exist, which needs the clearance. The nearest railway station to the project location is the Erode Junction, which is about 14 km away and the nearest bus stand is the Erode central bus terminus which is located at a distance of about 14 km. The closest airport is in Coimbatore, which is located at a distance of 96 km from the site. There are two State Highways near the proposed project location, which are: • Bhavani to Anthiyur road in the western side at about 100m from the site. • Bhavani to Sathyamangalam/Athani road (SH-82) in the southern side at about 500m from the proposed site. Cauvery river is located around 2.0 km to the east, Bhavani river is located at a distance of around 1.0 km to the south and Kadayampatti lake at a distance of around 0.5 km to the north of the proposed project location. The proposed 8.0 MLD CETP is based on a Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) concept. The treatment methodologies proposed in this CETP comprises of Collection and Conveyance system, Pretreatment unit (PT), Reverse Osmosis system (RO) and Reject Management system.
