IST Monsoon Watch The western end of the monsoon trough at mean sea level lies close to the foothills of the Himalayas and the eastern part passes through Bahraich, Gorakhpur, Gaya, Bankura, Kolkata and thence eastwards to North Bay of Bengal. Monsoon was active over Vidarbha. Main Weather Observations Heavy to very heavy rainfall occured at isolated places over Vidarbha and Chhattisgarth. Very light to moderate rainfall occured at most places over Chhattisgarth and Vidarbha, many places places over East Madhya Pradesh, Isolated places over West Madhya Pradesh. They were appreciably above normal over West Madhya Pradesh & Vidarbha and above normal over East Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Khajurao and Narsihapur recorded the highest maximum temperature of 36.0 degree celsius. No significant change in Maximum temperatures over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh during next 2 days. Minimum Temperature No large change in Minimum temperatures over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha & Chhattisgarh. They were normal over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha & Chhattisgarh. Chandrapur recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 18.0 degree celsius.
