M.S. Forest Land= 13.82 Ha. 2 Forest Land 14.95 Ha. Forest Land = 0.48 Ha. Zudpi jungle = 0.65 Ha. 3 Government Land 31.38 Ha. 4 Private land 180.44 Ha. 5 Revenue Survey detail of the area Available as per enclosed 7/12 NOTE:- The entire Thanewasana block put up for auction is divided into three-orebodies namely Northern ore body, Intervening ore body and Southern ore body. Thanewasana block was surveyed by DGPS for establishing all the corner points of the block (Plate A) andthe surveyed map was superimposed on the cadastral map (Plate B). Cadastral map showing the particulars of land is prepared (Plate C). The geological map of Thanewasan block indicating Northern, Intervening and Southern ore body along with borehole locations and old pit/quarry details is provided in Plate D. Initially, GSI worked in all the ore bodies during the year 1971 – 1979 and submitted the report titled “Final Report on Thanewasana Copper Investigation, District Chandrapur, Maharastra” in the year 1984. The resource of the three ore bodies was estimated of 4.42 MT with average grade of 0.81% Cu between 150 mrl to 35 mrl (Level I and II).Later on, GSI further carried out the exploration work of Northern and Intervening ore body upto level III ( 35 mrl to -40 mrl) and submitted a report titled “Report on Assessment of Copper and Associated Mineralisation in Thanewasana Copper Prospect, Chandrapur District, Maharashtra” with additional resource (level III) of 2.21 MT. Thus the total resource of Northern and Intervening ore body upto level III is 3.61 MT with average grade of 0.87% Cu with cut off of 0.5% Cu after excluding resource of Southern ore body. MECL carried further exploration work in the Southern ore body and submitted report titled “Geological Report on Exploration for Copper Ore in Thanewasana Copper Deposit (South Block), District Chandrapur, Maharashtra”. The total resource of Southern ore body was estimated by MECL after taking into consideration of GSI earlier work comes to 4.41 MT with average grade of 0.84% Cu at of 0.5% Cu cut off. Total estimated resource of Thanewasana block comes to 8.02 MT..
