WEATHER AND ASSOCIATED SYNOPTIC FEATURES :

1) Last week’s wind discontinuity / Trough ran from Vidarbha to extreme South Peninsula across Interior , and Interior Tamil nadu extended up to 1.5 km above mean sea level on 5 th morning and evening , it persisted on 6th morning and evening and it extended from Vidarbha to Commorin area across Telangana ,Interior Karnataka and Interior Tamil nadu and extended up to 0.9 km as on 7th morning and evening and it ran from Vidarbha to South Tamil nadu across Madhya Maharashtra and and Interior Karnataka on 8 th morning and evening and it ran from Telangana to South Tamil nadu across South Interior Karnataka and extended up to 0.9 km above mean sea level on 9 th morning and evening and it ran from South to North Tamil nadu across Telangana and Rayalseema and extended up to 0.9 km above sea level on 10 th . 2) An Upper air cyclonic circulation lay over Vidarbha ,adjoining Marathwada and Telangana and extended up to 1.5 km above sea level on 6 th morning ,evening and became less marked on 7 th morning. 3) A trough in the Upper air level Westerlies extended from East to South Konkan across East and Maharashtra at 5.8 km above sea level on 7 th morning ,evening and it persisted on 8 th morning ,evening and it moved away on 9 th morning. 4) An Upper air cyclonic circulation lay over South Madhya Maharashtra and adjoining areas between 1.5 km and 2.1 km above sea level on 8 th morning, evening and 9 th morning and it became less marked on 10 th morning.and evening and it ran from Vidarbha to South Interior Karnataka across Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada on 11 th morning and it ran from Vidarbha to South Interior Karnataka across Telangana and North Interior Karnataka and extended up to 0.9 km above sea level on 11 th evening. 5) A trough of low at mean sea level lay over Maldive-Lakshdweep area and neighborhood on 9 th morning, evening and it persisted on 10 th morning , evening and it ran from Equatorial Indian ocean to South Tamil nadu on 11 th morning and it persisted on 11 th morning.

45°C recorded at on 5th was the highest maximum temperature in the state during the week .
