SPANISH NEWS- 6th Grade Projects BOOK REVIEW- A Wrinkle in Time By: Zaid Mahmoud, Gr. 6 By: Chloe Muller, Gr. 5 th The 6 graders worked on making monsters in Spanish. We had to create a monster and then label five body parts in Spanish. We worked on our monsters for about a week and then presented to the class. A Wrinkle in Time is a beautiful, exhilarating story in which a girl needs to find her father who is lost in time and space. In the process, she needs to save the world as well. The main character’s name is Meg. With help from her brother, Charles Wallace, and a boy from school, named Calvin, Meg sets out to find her father. Three figures named Mrs. Which, Mrs. Whatsit, and Mrs. Who appear to aid the children on their way and to show them what dangers lie ahead. Meg, Charles Wallace, and Calvin travel in th 8 Grade Projects- Emotion Plates space to different planets like Uriel, the 2D Planet, Happy Medium’s Planet, Camazotz, Have a look! and Ixchel. When they travel to Camazotz, they discover a world in which everybody is exactly the same and everybody thinks the exact same way. Meg, Charles Wallace, and Calvin find Meg’s father and they soon realize that the danger, also known as IT, tries to overwhelm them and make them become one of the poor puppets on Camazotz. They are able to escape and go home. Meg’s family is reunited and life is better. A Wrinkle in Time is a story that will always be remembered.
