Rampage is a movie about a man named Davis (actor Dwayne Johnson) who has a gorilla named George. George has a VERY adult sense of humor. One night there was a meteor called Project Rampage that crash landed in three different places. One of the places is where an alligator was, another place was where some wolves were, and another one landed where George was. The day after the meteor crash, George was super big, and George and the wolf had to fight the alligator in Chicago. I think that this movie is super funny. Native Americans in Evanston Puppy Mills By Ryan Levine and Lucy Glynn By Eleanor Dillow

500,000 poor puppies are bred in puppy mills each year. Puppy mills are known for their terrible conditions, and ill/unhealthy animals they produce. Dogs should be able to have a proper amount of exercise per day, like a walk or the ability to run around the yard and play. In puppy mills, they are not able to get that. Most dogs in puppy mills are weak and underweight. This is because USDA standard says that a dog’s cage need only be 6” bigger than the dog. Also in puppy mills, there are no cleanup policies, so dogs are sometimes unable to move because their hair could have grown to the cage or they are matted to the bars with feces.

You should not buy from puppy mills... or should you?

Person #1: Now you might be thinking “oh, if you adopt from puppy mills you would be saving an innocent puppy,”. Well, I am here to tell you NO! If you adopt from a puppy mill you are giving the mill profit to keep breeding new puppies.

Person #2: If you adopt from a puppy mill you will be saving an innocent puppy, or even better if you adopt a pregnant dog you will be saving a whole litter of puppies to come. Yes I know, even if you buy a puppy from a puppy mill all the shots and vaccinations to get the dog well again will cost a lot of money, but dogs are man’s best friend and all dog lovers will understand that a dog’s love is worth more than that.

Native Americans came to Evanston a long time ago, and were in the area since 1600 A.D.! Some of the tribes were named Puants, Winnebago, Outagamis, Fox, Kicapoux, Kicapoo, and Macoutins.

They planted the “Three Sisters,” which is corn, squash and beans, in the summer. In the winter, they moved into smaller groups and started to hunt for food. Some people canoed in Lake Michigan or other lakes and rivers, and also fished.

Native Americans in this area lived in a house called a wigwam. In the summertime, the Native Amer- icans covered their wigwams with grass. In the winter they covered their wigwams with bark.

The French came to Evanston in the 1600s, and they tried to trade for furs. Their trading center was Lighthouse Beach, which they named Grosse Pointe at the time. When you’re at home, he shows his monster side he screams at you when he doesn’t get his way, but always in the end gets what he wants AND at night he calls for you and cries--sometimes I feel bad, but other times I don’t. My brother is like the Baby in “Boss Baby”: gets mad a lot and is the boss of everybody in the house. I bet he’s working for Baby Corp and is trying to take my secrets and my family’s. I come from a multiracial family. Sometimes in downtown Chicago I feel watched, just because my little brother and I are brown and my parents are white. People will also ask questions about me that don’t concern them. For instance, one time at summer camp pick up, a kid asked me who is your real mom? Surprisingly that is actually not one of the worst questions I have been asked. I believe that when kids share something special about themselves they should not feel self conscious. And scared to be who they are. Because you can build friendships that way. And the more friendships you build the more people you find that are like you.
