OUR PROGRAMS

INFORMATION AND REFERRAL We connect residents to local resources through the community service directory, newsletters and print materials. We also have one- on-one conversations regarding local resources with residents in person, over the phone and by email.

For up-to-date information regarding our local programs and non- profit organizations sign up for our monthly newsletter at www. lloydminster.ca/newsletter.

SENIORS TAXI PROGRAM This program allows seniors ages 65 and over to purchase tickets that provide one-way transportation to a location within city limits at a cost of $5 per trip. This program supports our seniors by allowing them to remain active and engaged participants in the community. NEIGHBOURHOOD BLOCK PARTY PROGRAM The Neighbourhood Block Party Program is designed to unite neighbours and create a well-connected community. Included in this program is: ▪ free, fun-filled activities and games, ▪ support with liability insurance, permitting and road closures; and ▪ financial assistance.

A connected neighbourhood is stronger, safer and happier. If you are interested in hosting a Block Party, call FCSS or visit www.lloydminter.ca/BlockParty for more information.

AWARENESS AND EDUCATION Our goal is to raise understanding of community issues through awareness campaigns, workshops and special events. Some highlights include National Seniors Day, mental health workshops and the Community Social Needs Assessment.

For more information on upcoming events subscribe to our monthly newsletter at www.lloydminster.ca/newsletter, or visit the community calendar at www.lloydminster.ca/calendar.

NON-PROFIT GRANTS We administer over $500,000 in community funds to local non-profits through the FCSS, Saskatchewan Lotteries and Tobacco Reduction grant programs. Visit www.lloydminster.ca/grants for more information.

VOLUNTEERISM We celebrate our local volunteers annually during National Volunteer Week and promote community volunteer initiatives such as the Youth Graffiti Clean-Up and online volunteer listings. If you are interested in lending-a-hand, visit www.lloydminster.ca/volunteer.

This directory was made with the help of our local community partners. We thank all local service providers, for sharing their time and talents to support residents and make Lloydminster a great place to live. LLOYDMINSTER Seniors Taxi Program
