NJ 12Th District GOP Candidate Daryl Kipnis Responds to Opponent's For Immediate Release Contact: Charles W. Kim Aug. 23, 2018 Communications Director Phone: (610) 533-0711 Email: [email protected] NJ 12th District GOP Candidate Daryl Kipnis Responds To Opponent’s Venomous Tweet SOMERSET, NJ - Republican 12th District Congressional Candidate Daryl Kipnis responded today to his Democratic incumbent’s nasty and sexist tweet against the U.S. House of Representatives and President Donald Trump. Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman ✔ @RepBonnie For a Congress so full of men, it's incredible that we don't have the balls to check a president that: asks aides to violate protocol and law; praises dictators from Russia to the Philippines; and torpedos relationships with our allies. 9:58 PM - Aug 22, 2018 “Sadly, my opponent is once again fanning flames of discord rather than doing her job of representing the hard-working people in New Jersey’s 12th District,” Kipnis said. “She would rather spend her time grandstanding and demonizing her political opponents and our president than helping to make the lives of her constituents any better as they struggle to survive in a state that her party is driving into the ground with Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy.” “On one hand, she constantly condemns the president for his use of social media and the tone he uses, while at the same time, she is doing the exact same thing,” he said. “While she calls out President Trump for every conceivable ‘wrong’ she and the Democrats can come up with at the spur of the moment, she turns a blind eye to the proven corruption she and other Democrats, like U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez, have wrought on New Jersey. Many of her donors, supporters, and ‘friends’ have been convicted of real crimes in the state, padding their pockets with ill-gotten gains during their supposed ‘public service’ while Trenton residents fight to drink clean water, and avoid bullets fired from illegal guns by the criminals that have flooded that city’s streets for years.” “My opponent accuses the president of ‘comforting Nazis’, yet neither she nor Gov. Phil Murphy, her good friend and former U.S. Ambassador to Germany, can explain why Jakiw Palij, the last remaining Nazi war criminal residing in the United States, was permitted to live in the comfort of his home in Queens for years, until the proactive Trump administration finally deported him this week,” he said. @RepBonnie If making a mockery of the emoluments clause wasn't enough; if comforting confederates and nazis wasn't enough; if rampant racism, collaborating with Russians, and being implicated in federal elections crimes wasn't enough, then WHAT IS ENOUGH for Congress to act? 3:58 PM - 22 Aug 2018 “Sometimes, the only place you should look to weed out graft and corruption, is in your own mirror,” Kipnis said. “It’s hard to take such blustering seriously from someone who cannot keep her own house in order. We need to have someone in Washington, D.C. that is serious about the business of the people in this district and is working daily to see that their best interests are being heard in our nation’s capital. That is exactly what I intend on doing when I go to congress and what I will continue to do for as long as I serve the citizens of New Jersey’s 12th District.” Links: https://twitter.com/RepBonnie/status/1032447014448115713 https://twitter.com/RepBonnie/status/1032447016801120256 ### If you would like more information about this topic, please call Charles W. Administration of Donald J. Trump, 2018 Remarks at the Ohio Republican Party State Dinner in Columbus, Ohio August 24, 2018 The President. Thank you very much, everybody. It's great to be back here. Remember, you cannot win unless you get the State of Ohio. Remember that? I heard that so many times. "You need the State of Ohio; therefore Trump can't win." I think we won by 9 points. What did we win by? Nine? We're winning. We're going to keep winning. I love this State. I worked here. During a summer, I worked here, and I loved it. Cincinnati. We like Cincinnati. Right? [Applause] We like Cincinnati. And this November, we're going to win really big. It's going to be one big Ohio family, as we've had. Special place. Helping us to achieve that victory will be our incredible Ohio GOP Chairwoman—a really incredible person and friend of mine—Jane Timken. Thank you, Jane. Great to be with you, Jane. Great job. This is your record—alltime. This is the all—that's not bad. You know, it is Ohio. All-time record. I'd say that's pretty good. We're also joined tonight by RNC Cochairman Bob Paduchik, who also ran my campaign in Ohio. And I want to tell you, he did an awfully good job. He did a great job. Thank you, Bob. Fantastic. I also want to express my gratitude to all of the county GOP chairs, grassroots activists, volunteers, and Republican women who work so hard to achieve victory for your party, your State, and for your country.

NCSEJ WEEKLY TOP 10 Washington, D.C. August 24, 2018 Ratas meets with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu ERR, August 24, 2018 https://news.err.ee/856027/ratas-meets-with-israeli-prime-minister-netanyahu Prime Minister Jüri Ratas said at a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his Baltic counterparts that the European Union needs "peace and stability" in its neighboring regions, and seeks to contribute to the peace process in the Middle East. Netanyahu and Ratas as well as Latvian Prime Minister Māris Kučinskis and Lithuanian Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis met in Vilnius on Friday to discuss relations between the European Union and Israel, the security situation in the Middle East and the Baltic Sea region, and Russia's activities near the EU. "The activities of Russia in Syria are worrying, and we are following these developments very closely," Ratas was quoted in a government press release. The prime ministers had a longer discussion on how to fight terrorism, but also on co-operation in the field of cybersecurity as well as how to deal with disinformation. "Terrorism is global, it endangers us all, and we have to fight it together. It is clear that no country is completely protected against attacks. Therefore, Estonia contributes to Operation Barkhane in Mali, and the Estonian Defense Forces are deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan," the prime minister added. Estonia and Israel both belong to the Digital 7, a network of leading digital governments. According to Ratas, the contribution of Israel to the security of digital identity and digital signatures will help simplify communication between Estonia and Israel.

  • Statement from the Press Secretary
STATEMENTS & RELEASES Statement from the Press Secretary IMMIGRATION Issued on: August 21, 2018 ★ ★ ★ Early this morning, United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) implemented a 2004 order of deportation to the Federal Republic of Germany of Jakiw Palij, a former Nazi SS labor camp guard in German-occupied Poland and a postwar resident of Queens, New York. President Trump commends his Administration’s comprehensive actions, especially ICE’s actions, in removing this war criminal from United States soil. Despite a court ordering his deportation in 2004, past administrations were unsuccessful in removing Palij. To protect the promise of freedom for Holocaust survivors and their families, President Trump prioritized the removal of Palij. Through extensive negotiations, President Trump and his team secured Palij’s deportation to Germany and advanced the United States’ collaborative eorts with a key European ally. Palij had lied about being a Nazi and remained in the United States for decades. Palij’s removal sends a strong message: The United States will not tolerate those who facilitated Nazi crimes and other human rights violations, and they will not find a safe haven on American soil. Palij, who was born in what was then Poland and is now Ukraine, immigrated to the United States in 1949 and became a United States citizen in 1957. During the United States immigration and naturalization process, he concealed his Nazi service and his participation in human rights abuses. Palij lied to United States immigration oicials, saying that he had spent World War II working on a farm and in a factory. AILA Doc.
