Cidades de Luz Da janela do quarto do hotel eu olhava a cidade vazia, de manhã bem cedo, uma bela cidade, apesar de relativamente pequena era limpa, organizada, esteticamente bonita, e imaginava o que nós podíamos construir com trabalho e dedicação, certamente havia também muito amor ali. Ao mesmo tempo, sabia que provavelmente em algumas daquelas construções, edifícios, estabelecimentos comerciais, governamentais, deveria ter algo de errado embutido, de mazelas da humanidade. Na véspera estava pesquisando sobre Lúcifer e Satã, o Portador da Luz e o Inimigo. E pensava sobre o porquê da dicotomia bem e mal, não só num sentido estrito, mas mais amplamente em nível universal. Lúcifer um anjo, um ser que não tem corpo material, segundo a lenda liderou uma revolta de anjos, e decaiu. Não existe um consenso sobre Satã, mas acho que o chamado Príncipe das Trevas é o ,Hêlêl or Heylel) o que trás a luz) הֵילֵל mesmo Lúcifer, após a queda. Lucifer em hebraico conforme Isaias, ou em grego (Ἑωσφόρος) - heósforos - estrela da manhã. Foi o responsável pela tentação de Jesus Cristo no deserto - O diabo, levando-o para mais alto, mostrou-lhe num instante todos os reinos da terra e disse-lhe: “Eu te darei todo este poder com a glória destes reinos, porque ela me foi entregue e eu a dou a quem eu quiser. Por isso, se te prostrares diante de mim, toda ela será tua”. Conforme Huberto Rohden: "O mundo está posto no maligno. Esse príncipe do mundo é um poder de grande inteligência, dono de forças mágicas, em face das quais toda a força e inteligência humana é irrisoriamente pequena”. O mesmo que nos ensina a Gnose (1), que este mundo foi criado pelos Archons do Demiurgo e não pelos Eons, seres de luz. Sobre isso o Cristo disse: “Vem o Príncipe deste Mundo, mas sobre Mim, não tem poder algum, porque eu venci o Mundo”. Para mim naquele instante, em que observava os prédios da cidade, percebi que, como em todo o universo material, pelo menos, as duas vertentes coexistem, a do bem que edifica com amor e a do mal que induz a corrupção da harmonia. A parábola bíblica é elucidativa, tanto em relação ao mundo em que vivemos quanto a constatação de que temos que vence-lo, para evoluirmos e nos re-integrarmos às esferas mais altas, além deste mundo. Também pensei nos dados cosmológicos em que o Universo a partir do Big Bang tem 13.8 bilhões de anos de idade e nosso planeta Terra, 3.8 bilhões de anos. Se pensarmos que as chamadas estrelas com metalicidade (Z), onde o Hidrogênio e o Hélio não são os únicos componentes, são a segunda e a terceira geração de estrelas, na evolução do universo, podemos imaginar que a vida na Terra é adequada a esta escala de tempo, considerando inclusive outras possíveis civilizações, neste horizonte. Para mim, faz sentido a teoria Antrópica (2), segundo a qual nosso universo é a consequência da nossa consciência e da vida mais simples que nos precedeu. Ou seja, a consciência da vida, realizando o que nos mostra a Mecânica Quântica (3), foi modificando a realidade Universal no sentido de viabilizar a sua própria existência. No experimento da Fenda Dupla - Apagador Quântico de Escolha Retardada ou The delayed choice quantum eraser, mostra-se que o observador modifica o passado da função de onda quando esta é colapsada, pela simples observação de um ser consciente. No caso local, este passado está muito próximo, mas se "3 III 6 O Mundo Espiritual considerarmos a observação da função de onda da luz de uma estrela, a bilhões de anos luz da Terra, e que esta pode mudar o passado, este passado está a bilhões de anos luz de nosso presente. Assim também fazem sentido os Multiversos, da Teoria das Cordas, ou seja, existem infinitos universos, que abrigam todas os possíveis cenários da evolução e seus desdobramentos. Como disse o Cristo: “A casa do meu Pai tem muitas moradas”. A probabilidade de formação deste nosso universo com estrutura de Carbono, base da nossa vida, e diversas outras varáveis como as constantes universais da Física, é da ordem de 1 sobre 10-120, ou seja, extremamente pequena. Assim faz sentido a hipótese Antrópica de que influenciamos na nossa própria formação, e faz também sentido supormos que somos, pelo menos em parte, nossos próprios co-criadores. O que nos diferenciou dos nossos ancestrais foi o Sapiens de nossa espécie, que denota discernimento, sensibilidade, sabedoria e consciência. Na verdade, o poder da imaginação coletiva em nossa espécie é o que nos diferenciou dos antepassados. Inteligência Social é a capacidade de conhecer a si mesmo e de conhecer os outros. Ross Honeywill acredita que a inteligência social é uma medida agregada de autoconsciência e consciência social, crenças e atitudes sociais evoluídas e uma capacidade e apetite para administrar uma mudança social complexa. O psicólogo Nicholas Humphrey acredita que é a inteligência social, e não a inteligência quantitativa, que define quem somos como seres humanos. Apesar das diferenças anatômicas de nosso cérebro, notadamente o neocórtex, isto não explica o efeito da interação social em nossa inteligência. A inteligência e a capacidade de estar ciente de ter inteligência, ou observar a sua própria consciência, perceber o inconsciente coletivo, é a fronteira, ao meu ver, como o aspecto não material de ser, o que se chama de espiritual. Como disse Rupert Sheldrake: "A abordagem que estou apresentando é muito semelhante à ideia de Jung do inconsciente coletivo. A principal diferença é que a ideia de Jung foi aplicada principalmente à experiência humana e à memória coletiva humana. O que estou sugerindo é que um princípio muito semelhante opera em todo o universo, não apenas nos seres humanos. Se o tipo de mudança radical de paradigma de que falo se passa dentro da biologia - se a hipótese da ressonância mórfica é mesmo aproximadamente correta -, a idéia de Jung do inconsciente coletivo se tornaria uma idéia dominante. Os campos morfogênicos e o conceito do inconsciente coletivo mudariam completamente o contexto da psicologia moderna”. E explicou também que o que acontece quando morremos é como os sonhos lúcidos onde as pessoas se tornam conscientes de que estão sonhando e podem controlar seu sonho. Esta é uma experiência fora do corpo físico, no que ele chama de Corpo de Sonho ou Corpo Sutil ou Astral com outros chamam. Assim, imaginava naquela manhã, o nosso Universo, do qual somos co-criadores, uma consequência de nossas consciências ou o produto de nosso livre-arbítrio. Pensei na individualidade, na minha existência única e pessoal como consequência de um longo processo de evolução antrópica que nos levou à diferenciação de um espírito coletivo e a uma consciência individual, mas totalmente interligada a todo o Universo. Pude naquele momento até visualizar um modelo matemático que podia sistematizar estas ideias, esta filosofia cosmológica que unia o Big Bang ao mundo espiritual. Pensei na evolução. Acho que o amor é a força que nos agrega, que reverte a entropia, a tendência natural para a desorganização do universo ou do caos. O mundo criado pelo Demiurgo tende naturalmente à desarmonia, ao caos. Por outro lado, o amor nos permite reverter este processo, harmonizar os inter-relacionamentos entre os seres vivos e materiais, que também são 'vivos' "4 III 6 O Mundo Espiritual como os cristais e metais que se estruturam de acordo com a hereditariedade mórfica dos campos descritos por Shaldrake. No Homo Sapiens atual que deve continuar evoluindo para o Homo Spiritualis, onde viveremos no mundo dos sonhos, do pensamento, ou do espírito como nos mostram os milhares de casos de NDE ou Near Death Experiences, reportados por médicos e cientistas ao longo do tempo. Neste mundo, então, imaginei naquele instante, viveremos em Cidades de Luz, que construiremos com o mesmo amor que se construiu a pequena cidade que eu observava, em conjunto e harmonia. Foi a visão que tive naquele amanhecer, ao observar aquela cidade, da varanda do quarto do hotel onde estava.     SES Kabbalah Course Segment 4 The Theoretical Kabbalah The most lasting product of the Provençal and Spanish schools of Kabbalah was compilation and publication of the classical Kabbalistic texts: the Sefer Yetzirah, the Sefer ha-Bahir, and the Sefer ha-Zohar. The Spanish Rabbi Moses de Léon (c.1250–1305) published the Zohar at roughly the same time when Abraham Abulafia was writing about the ecstatic Kabbalah. Controversy over the Zohar’s origins may never be resolved, but the work emerged as a major Jewish sacred text. Without doubt it became the most significant text in the development of the theoretical Kabbalah. The Zohar provided all of the concepts on which the theoretical Kabbalah is based. But its full potential was not exploited for another 300 years. That task fell to an elite group of scholars who assembled at Safed, Galilee, in the 16th century. Moses Cordovero, Isaac Luria, and others codified the zoharic teachings and built the elaborate system of theoretical Kabbalah we recognize today. In this segment we shall learn more about the Ain Sof and the sefiroth. We shall study the Kabbalistic story of creation, fall and redemption; we shall meet the Shekinah, the feminine aspect of God; and we shall explore the human soul and reflect on the role humanity can play in cosmic redemption. I really don't agree with that sentiment, and given what I have experienced over the years, I know fully that our gentle Craft is imbued with mystical spirituality that has accumulated since the first Lodge was founded. After all, everything in this Fraternity is, in a larger sense, a microcosm of the life led on this plane: if spirituality is found in all THE LORD's Creation, why would there not be some form of the spiritual in the workings of the Fraternity? I have experienced occasional "glimmers" of the Light, through various gradations in the Craft, when the conditions were right; this set me on this study of various mystical "trailblazers" that have been evident, and not-so-evident, in the Craft's symbolism. Being ever mindful of the admonition in the 32"d Degree of the Scottish Rite (Southern Jurisdiction, U.S.A.): "To know how to classify shells, flowers, and insects is not wisdom any more than it is wisdom to know the titles of books" I must state for the record that, as Heinlein's protagonist put it in the novel, "Stranger in a Strange Land", "I am onJy an egg", I do not profess to have the knowledge of the Adepts, despite the occasional "glimmers" I've experienced over the years. A lot of this probably is old ground for some readers.

At a time when the Jewish kabbalah, or esoteric tradition, was considered by the protagonists of Jewish studies as the result of an era of intellectual and religious decadence, Benamozegh indicated it to be the authentic theology of Judaism. In numerous works of varying nature, in Italian, French and Hebrew, the kabbalah is studied by comparing it with the thought of Spinoza and with German idealism (Hegel in particular), and, at a later stage, also with positivism and evolutionism. Benamozegh formulated a pluralistic religious philosophy open to progress by constantly referring to the first phase of Vico’s historicist philosophy and above all to the work of Vincenzo Gioberti. MEIR BEN JUDAH ASHKENAZI POPPERS In Hebrew, vertical scroll on parchment with diagrams and tables East-Central Europe, Late 17th Century – Early 18th Century Six membranes on parchment forming a vertical scroll, complete, written and drawn in brown ink within a ruled column 260 mm. wide in an elegant text script, with comments on the margins and within the kabbalistics ketches presumably added by the scribe himself in a rounded script with ELEVEN LARGE CIRCULAR AS WELL AS TREE DIAGRAMS, including an ANTHROPOMORPHIC design, in fine condition, housed in a modern tubular case. Dimensions 4245 x 285 mm. This is a fine example of a Kabbalistic scroll, known as an Ilan (pl. Ilanot) for its tree-like diagrams, nearly fourteen feet long. There are several versions of this Ilan, which is attributed to important Lurianic kabbalist, R. Meir ben Judah Poppers. Text and drawings vary in the several dozen surviving examples. The version found in this scroll, earlier than the printed version, and different from it in a number of striking details, is known in only two or three similar manuscripts. PROVENANCE This Ilan contains no explicit information testifying to the manuscript’s date and place of composition; knowledge of parallel manuscripts, however, does allow us to draw some conclusions as to its origins. Evidence from the scribe’s handwriting and the schematic design of the manuscript, and the fact that we know of similar kabbalistic trees whose source is East- Central Europe, suggest that it was probably drawn by an Ashkenazic scribe in East-Central Europe, although it is possible that it was copied by an Ashkenazic Jew studying at one of the kabbalistic centers in Palestine.

    Origin of Universe according to Ancient Science ‘False Vacuum’ is a term created by physicists to describe the condition of the Universe as having no space, time or matter. In such a state this universe contained more energy than a universe full of matter. Kabbalistic theory is consistent with this 1st premise also because the concept of ‘Tzimzum’ states that all things that came into existence did so as a result of the contraction of all that “IS” into a finite point in order to allow the existence of matter to take place within the void of light. See Isaac Luria’s book Etz Hayyim (Tree of Life) for a further explanation of Tzimtzum. It is the second phase of three transitional states. The Tikkun represents the Unification of the separate forces and the gathering of the broken vessels. Luria grappled with these ideas over 400 years ago, but it is only recently that scientists have actually found proof that there really was a ‘shattering of light’. Adam McLean explains the significance of Isaac Luria’s doctrine for modern Physics today in, Kabbalistic Cosmology and its parallels in the ‘Big- Bang’ of Modern Physics. He analyzes the four worlds of cosmology and notes the parallels he has found in various scientific theories. His explanation of how the broken vessels of light parallel the Higgs fields is absolutely amazing. According to McClean, The energy that the universe contained was bound up in special fields of force, (the Higgs fields named after the physicist who first described them) which were essentially unstable (Inflationary Universe P6 Para 7) The author compares the ‘fields of force’ with the sefiroth or the vessels that were shattered because they could not contain the extreme intensity of the original light.

By explicating how the symbolic dynamic of the Lurianic Kabbalah accounts for both human creativity and the signification process, we can not only gain insight into human psychology and language, but also deepen our understanding of the Kabbalah and its capacity to reveal the hidden nature of God and the world. I will begin by providing a general account of the Lurianic theosophy, and then proceed to show how the Lurianic symbols provide the foundation for a theory of human creativity. I will then briefly describe the Kabbalist’s views on language, and close by offering a preliminary outline for a Lurianic model of linguistic meaning.1 The Lurianic Kabbalah Isaac Luria (1534-72) was perhaps the greatest of Kabbalistic visionaries. Living and teaching in the mystical community of Safed, which had laready produced such luminaries as Moses Cordovero and Joseph Karo, Luria developed a highly original theosophical system which, though based in the Zohar, introduced a number of symbols that hearkened back to early Gnostic ideas. These symbols were highly determinative for the subsequent course of Jewish mysticism and became the foundation for the Hasidic movement. Luria himself wrote comparatively little, and it is mainly through the works of his disciples, most notably Chayyim Vital (1543-1620) that we are aware of Luria’s unique system of thought.
